Seville Adventurer's Guild
Before, we had you investigate the development of bull fighting. The cardinal was very impressed with the report you made then. For this next request, he's asked us to learn what kind of presence the leading bull fighter had and how did they manage to attain such a standing. I want you to do this follow-up work then.

Retired bull fighter
That matador already retired. Bullfighting for nobles is divided into the mounted matador - the star of the show, who makes the killing blow - and the servant, who weakens the bull. He was one of te servants. I've heard that he's the illegitimate child of a low-ranking noble, but I don't know the details. That sort of mystery made him a good deal more popular too.

Former mercenary
Yeah, I've worked with him before. Used to be a mercenary, until some noble noticed his skill with a sword and hired him as a bodyguard. He was good with his hands, did all sorts of work... Never thought he would take up bullfighting, though. I don't know what happened after that. If he was a famous matador, surely there are records of him?

A non-traditional style of bullfighting
The servant appeared at the Valencia stadium for the bullfight hosted for the Duke of Palma, and killed the bull in a single blow without ever mounting a horse. The audience was surprised by his unorthodox fighting style, but were completely spellbound at the same time, and applauded him...

Bull fights held by the union
Around here, bullfighting isn't so separated from the town. We even have unions putting out money for it once in a while. Less of it now, though. A couple years back, we had bullfights all the time, when L'Escatore was still around. The shrieking from the girls got pretty annoying. It was good to have something going on around here.

Populat with women
I think the matador you're asking about is L'Escatore. No one but him could kill a trained bull in one stab! L'Escatore is strong, kind to the ladies, and looks amazing! I wonder if the rumours that he retired are true...

Making fake gold
You wouldn't believe what the town was like back then. All the noblewomen would come from far away to see L'Escatore. We even ran out of tickets, in the end. But L'Escatore is just a stage name, you know. It means fake goldmaker in Spanish. I wonder if it's true that he used to be a criminal?

Loved by women, loathed by men
He would never do anything like that. It's probably just men's cynicism... between the popularity, the skill at bullfighting, the sudden wealth and fame. He did do all sorts of work before, and I'm sure some of it was a little questionable. Speaking of which, I often saw a noble from Genoa during those bull fights...

Frequented
Yes, I used to go and watch the fights often. Barcelona had Michaela the flamenco dancer, and Valencia had L'Escatore the matador... Yes, I went to both all the time. But I never see either of them any more... I wish I could see them again.

Leskatol's ticket
The bullfights at Valencia got so crowded that they started handing out numbered tickets. I think I still have one with me. Feel free to take it, if you want. It had a drawing of L'Escatore on it, and was a collector's item at the time.

Flower bull fighter Leskatol
The matador that goes by the name L'Escatore became instantly famous by changing bullfighting in Valencia. He was popular with women and, as a result, slandered by men. The Trajet estate has a numbered ticket with his portrait. Search for it.

Bullring Ticket ★★ (Treasure) Exp:330 Fame:165
An entry ticket once passed out at Valencia to deal with the crowds when the famous bullfighter L'Estocart appeared.
They were hastily prepared, but the image of L'Estocart drawn on them made the noble women swoon.
