Fixed and potatoes can post again but ya agree NM CJ pissing players off more and more with biased judgement and letting low level players win more ships and we will see how deck battle goes.

apart from Athens is there any other place where rabbits can be procured?
(i know farms have them but 990 is barely enough to make sailing there to make exquisite fur worth the effort)

While using Procurement (R5) I got a message "You have become tired from using a skill. You will no longer gain adventure experience." I still had vigor and cargo space. What is the remedy?
Wystein01-28-2015
There is no remedy. There is also nothing wrong. You can continue to use the skill, find goods, gain skill prof etc. The only thing that changes is that you no longer gain adventure xp when finding goods. This is just a way to prevent people from sitting afk and picking up adventure levels without actually doing anything.
Euron01-28-2015
Get out of the land where you are using procurement skill and reset to the closest port. Go back and start over. You will gain adventure experience again.

How do you people rank up this skill? It seems it takes years to rank up even with favoured skills... Same goes for collection and recognition.
Wystein06-03-2016
Procurement and Collection are a chore to rank up. Main thing I would suggest if your trying to rank and don't care what you get is to look for an area with multiple items at or just below your current rank and few items that are well below your rank. This ensures that most of what you find will be around your current rank which is worth more proficiency than low level items. For example if your rank 4 South Calais would be a terrible spot to try and rank - 4 rank 1 items and a rank 7. Compare that to South American NorthEast Coast 1 rank 1, 2 rank 4, a rank 5 and a rank 7. Much better odds of getting rank 4 items.

Using items which boost your procurement/collection-skill helps a lot, too if they help you to collect/procure stuff which you could not get with your normal skill rank. You can get procurement to r4 in no time if you got some boosters and start collecting in the landing zone west of Casablanca
Guilder06-29-2016
Contrary to the listing for Australia Northwest Coast, land charting shows Earthworms are not among the "Crops" of trade goods that can be procured/collected there. Possibly they were removed at some point, like what happened in East Havana (as discussed under Collection table comments). Everything else seems to check out there, though.

To rank this up fast, (in addition to using boosters) and this goes for Procurement, Collection and Fishing... get one of those 3 skills to r3 the hard way to unlock Field Techniques 1 Thesis the Basic and Advanced buildings at Oxford. They give Field Activities 1 and 2 Oxford skills and will give a considerable boost to the quantities you are gathering when using these skills and thereby a considerable boost to the proficiency you're getting. Get both of those done and running asap. It's equivalent to using a proficiency boost compared to not using them. Then just load up as many vigor/fatigue food as you can hold, hit a good land area/fishing spot, and go to town. If you AFK just remember to check in and dump your cargo, and vigor your toon and your crew so your crew doesn't hit max fatigue and start disappearing on you... And obviously don't forget to be in a job with the skill favored.

The best job you can get(with a basic job card) to rank this skill, Collection and Fishing is Fisher(with a basic adventure job card) because it favors all 3 skills and also gives +1 to Fishing(this is the only job you can get with any basic job card that has an expert[+1] skill). Later on another job that favors all 3 skills is Artificer, but that is harder to get.
