Hi Hawka , u might wanna try to port hop or spam po3 at calcutta , buy silk thread and make velvet , i got r15 after afew days there

Hawka if you go to india, you can make indian calico,if you have dyes skill, turkish rugs or persian rugs, the wool with sheeps or go to hormuz and buy wool,turkish you will win 7k or 8k each and extra fame, and georgette better than satin, the recipe make more stuff and raise sewing faster.

If you dont want to go there, there are a lot of wool in valencia to make tweed and flannel. Or buy tons woad, if you have dyes skill, from Ragusa and then go to Alexandria and Cairo to buy Cotton and cotton fabric to make dutch calico and sell them in beirut or jaffa. It will give you 3k each one.

And do 1/4 of your cargo in woad and 1/4 in cotton fabric because is create 2 or 3.

Assuming you have Long Term Storage, get a bunch of Sewing kits, 600-800 PO 3s, as much +70 vigor food you can carry (1200-1500) and if you have the astros get the +30% skill up for 15 days of buy a few bottles and get the +30 or 50% skill ups for an hour. Hang out in Machilipatnam the whole time grinding with Silk. etc. Be aware to get to R16 you need the quest from Venice and 3 dresses to be delivered. I did this over a couple hours a day for 3-4 days went from r10 or 11 sewing to 15 then did the quest for Tailoring card and came back and to Machilipatnam to grind out r16.

It is also VERY helpful to be able to use higher level recipes than your current rank via +1/+2 items to sewing, also you need high fiber trading and there are a few +1 items for that(use less POs), Hans (Aide) is useful in Fiber trading and vigor usage reduction, uses 4 instead of 5. Also a couple of school skills, Trade Goods 3 Type Bargain 1 and Trade Goods 3 Type Bargain 2 each give a + to fiber trading. Everything in this paragraph is useful for any of the main skills for leveling, just change out the Aide, items and school skills for appropriate ones.

Your milage may vary based on space and astros.

You can do everything for sewing in Machilipatnam. Best part you do not have to move and possibly be attacked by NPC or Player pirates. Battousai, I have already done this, there is no reason to move to any other town until R15 and you need to get the Tailoring quest from Venice.

- Invest a little bit in your mayor city (e.g. Marseille for France), and you can buy Fabric secrets- Fine cloth from the item shop.
- Also buy a good amount of Sewing Set and get the Mode Design Collection - v3 from Plymouth, Porto, Malaga or Pisa (invest 120k ducats).
*With Mode v3 you can make Embroidery Thread from Sewing sets and silk threads
- Go to India and buy silk thread in Diu, Machilipatnam or Calcutta. With the Fabric secrets- Fine cloth book, you can then get to r15. At r11 you can make Sation, r12 = Georgette fabric, r13 = Velvet (velvet is great because you can sell it as a specialty product).
*If you have any bonus on sewing from a broom, aide, etc. then try to make velvet.
- Use PO3 to stock up on silk threads, then go out of town and sail while producing. When you are halfway through producing, turn around and when you are done you will be back and the market has reset.

Rather than equipment, there is an Original Ship Skill, Manufacture Lab (R4 Management to use, R5 Shipbuilding and Infirmary + Workshop + Original Ship Permit x1 to install), which gives +1 to Sewing, Casting, and Handicrafts.

Could not agree more. Manufacture lab is a must for me. My "factory ship" is a TLG with Manufacture lab, workshop and galley. I built it before R20 SBers were on the server so it's about 100 short of max cargo but I don't care, it does a spectacular job for grinding production. I'll never sell it. At any rate, manufacture lab is well worth the use of an OSP.

Job + weap slot item + acc item + Lab is = +4 to skill. W/workshop and producing at sea you can grind the heck out of sewing/casting/handicraft as well as management.
