So how do these work? Once you have the discovery card they become available to buy from the stated NPC character/location?
ReaD08-14-2012
it's convert from card to ornaments with certain rate in certain town...rediscover those card if u need it twice or more..

@Chester my best guess is the more it costs to commission the more value it has in museum.

where i can get FSD ornament?
Snipe05-30-2014
There's no fsd ornament
David07-08-2015
Chichen Itza is not listed so I don't know where to get it ornamentized.
Curious07-08-2015
It doesn't have an ornament.
Guilder07-08-2015
As noted by Curious, if a discovery is not listed under these assorted tables, it very likely cannot have an ornament made out of its discovery card (except for a very small number of discoveries not fully updated on the DB, such as Mt. Fuji's ornament coming from Massawa, and King Protea's ornament being produced at Luanda).
I have heard the Chichen Itza quest can be pulled again even if you haven't lost the discovery card, but haven't tried confirming this for myself as of yet. The only way to lose discovery cards like Chichen Itza is to:
- Turn it in at your nation's Caribbean Colony/Lima city official (assuming it's listed; selections change at set intervals)
- Sacrifice it during Treasure Hunt clue synthesis (useable discovery cards change hourly, and every hunt displays a different set of cards)
- Have the card equipped to a Debate card deck and lose during an official tournament (usually held once a month)
Hope that helps. Cheers, and favorable mediator quest generations to you.

Actually Guilder, that feature with the build-in bonuses wont be implemented until the mini-update "Christmas" (which, despite the title, has nothing to do with Christmas itself except as a tie in to a Christmas event) which would be a good 4-5 months from now...

Of course it's still subjected to change for us on GAMA.

Although most players probably know this, a tip for those that don't who may come by this section... equipment rewards from quests can be displayed at Paris museum, as long as they meet the following criteria:
1. The discovery must come from outside of 'normal and boring' Europe culture zones, the same as any normal ornament.
2. If the equipment reward can be color-customized, it must be left (or changed back) to its default color appearance before you can display it as an ornament in Paris.
Otherwise, anything from
Green Dragon Crescent Blade to
Feather Hair Ornaments can be displayed at Paris. You can even select mannequin gender with some, if you so wish, not that it affects anything.
Like with other ornaments, the cultural contribution points you receive are equivalent to the star rating of the card tied to the equipment, so keep an eye out on player bazaars; maybe you'll see a good 5* discovery equipment ornament for sale at a low price.

If there is a column for Ornament effect(s) would be nice
Guilder04-28-2020
I agree. This section predates Ornament effects by many years; currently the best we have available is looking at the effects under "Others(2)" from the front page, or by checking the ornament pages themselves. Hopefully one day a more cohesive update will be implemented. Until then, player comments are the way to go... cheers.

Folklore quests can be found here for now:
uwodbmirror.ivyro.net/eg/main.php?id=193&chp=130
I'm told there is a bug which makes it difficult to add new folklore quests but several of them already exist and are waiting for information to be added to them (which anybody can do by logging in, and going to the appropriate quest page).
If anybody wishes to contribute folklore quest information, please consider helping us out -- I'm unable to do so at this time, and apologize for that. Cheers!

SSJOY has an easier to read list of ornament effects: ssjoy.org/dho/installationEffect
(special thanks to Vyse Inglebard for finding this).
