Total speed will be over 1000. I haven't modded mine to 3/5 yet but I did the averages on the modding and I should end up with approximately 654 vertical and 340 horizontal (and that's not even max speed).

You have to consider the route, the skill of the player sailing (steering) and the skills of the ship (improve rudder) and how well it is imp so its almost impossible to know especially if one player is more experienced in sailing from EU-EA than the other one.
My opinion, diff is more or less 3 days for this two ships if they were to race back and forth.

this can go 6/6 with 1 improvement from colony . I recommend that one should use large square sails when they mod and also adding about +10 turning because the fast sails usually have a -1 turn penalty and since this has 6 slots for sails them u are looking at -6/10 turning

I noticed the last few build plans for this ship have teak panels added. It's redundant, this ship ONLY comes in teak, fresh out of build. Just something to keep in mind if making a plan, waste of slot, waste of cash, for no effect.

It doesn't work that way. You can't calculate all expenses you used in modding a ship. Who the hell will buy a non nc ship for 700m+OSP= 1b??? remember you build it so meaning for some time you used it also, so it's not a total lost, selling it at an average price seems fair.
And if someone wants a LMS 5/5 and has 1b, i think they will prefer to build there own LMS as they can choose what they want to mod or the skill instead of buying one. This is my opinion.

Slow acceleration, but one will never catch you at the high seas. Good for short travels as well. With the improved version of this ship (Moonlight long schooner), good speed boosters, speed moded, good skills and good sails, i can travel from Boston to Seville in 7 days.
The turning speed isn't a problem for me, because i dont use it for battles, and the travels, even the short ones, dont request lots of turns anyway. Steam engine and emergency acelleration ship skills will cover the low turn speed.
