limits for sails are 90/90 but its not easy getting just 90/90. sometimes it requires that you go slightly over, because the -'s you get arent always equal on both vertical/horizontal. 115/20 is probably just 3/5 improvements-anti-foul paint+gaff , 2x latin sails + large mast =

you'll need antifouling paint + large gaff sail (see the material to add EA) and 1 free armament slot, i suggest to add large mast for speed, or traverse rope if you want to make it storm-proof

not as much as the ship and parts would be worth seperately, people like to do their own builds to make sure it was done how they want. Fully improved ships taht aren't battle boats get too pricey for people to pull the trigger on buying them it seems.

okay then lets say a trading clipper is worth 30 million as 1/5.

2 body parts and a sail would be 3-4 mil each, so lets call that 11 mil for each build, plus the cost of the actual improvement, so call it 12 mil

12*4 is 48 mil, add that to the 30 mil and you get 78 million and that's not even compensating for all the ssbp's that are used.

nobody will pay that. Well can't say nobody, but good luck.

I have paneling on my TC and its still fast get from europe to sea in round 50days, Its ok saying its for speed but speed doesnt help when a pirate comes sailing head on, takes a pirate twice as long to try sink me due to the 800+ dura I have, by then am over the line and away as long as i stay out of there melee range

dura doesnt mean crap if they board you with the large corvus and useing abroadage skill they will have a loong boarding range. and if they in a galley GL running galleys are fast as hell in battle.. and if attack you head on your have to turn which slows you down so that a loss for you

if they attack from behind is they have angel bow (which they show) they can easly give you rudder damage and that slows you dramaticly so your screwed... so all and all dura doesnt matter much and if a pirate trys sinking your with sunks and not board you well .. sorry to them but they are stupid all they get is small bit cash and noto.. they dnt even get steal you trade goods for $$ and then your cash they take along with it

so in all n all dura serves very little purpose on a trade clipper the 582 dura (Ceder hull) is good enough to with stand NPC's

but a clipper even with 800+ dura they die easy from cannon fire if for some stpuid reason the pirate shoots are you. you will die fast cause the clippers really low low armour (unless your a maritime player in a clipper and they shot at you you use evasion skill it help you but most people in clippers are not maritime)

Oh and haveing the iron or military plate on the clipper slows down your speed in battle as well so also makes it easier for pirates the snag you if caught

so yet again panel is a bad idea for clipper

well for me putting Panelling on my clipper hasn't hurt and I have only been attacked once in the 5months i've had it which i managed to escape, for the said reason, if a pirate can't board you or as the case was failed in melee they fire, ship with low dura isn't guna last long if you dont have enough timber to repair as most traders dont, so the extra 300 dura in my opinion is worth it even if i have lost all of 10sails

I can totally understand somebody doing it because they like the way it looks, but trying to say it doesn't significantly degrade the performance of the boat is crazy talk and just shows a general lack of how the game works.

Hard to fix everything that breaks when you do that. Most people tend not to consider how bad it breaks down wave resistance and you really want 11 WR on this kind of boat. Not sure it's possible to get max sails, decent turn performance, and make the boat storm-proof with the limited improvements you can do.

My TC is 3/5: 9 turning, 14 WR (9+5), 13 armour (14-1), I maxed its sails to +90/+90, 20 cannons (16+4), 582 dura. With sails it is 387v 477h, it has EA but I can't use it yet, I need one more rank for navigation.

The question is, why I feel that this ship is SLOWWWW as fcuk?? If I travel from seville to Ambon I made around a 70 - 75 days trip. How I can improve this ship speed?

isnt slow, just there are faster ships around. In your case, other than using the oxford speed ups and using EA, no much options

70~75 days from Seville to Ambon is about right without NC speed boost.
For a 200m ship, this is not a bad result.

When you reach lvl 64 and 65, you can use Big Trading Clipper and Long Trade Schooner respectively. BTC should be able to do it with 60 days, and LMS could probably do it with 55 days.

It feels slow because this ship is talked up waaaay too much. It's not slow by any means, and it usually is the first boat that approaches "fast" that most players will get into. I don't know if it's players who dont' know what blazingly fast truly is or if it's shipbuilders taking advantage of the newer players or a combination of both.

The boat feels slow because it is, relative to just about every other clipper in the game.

Just to let everyone know you can not "actually" put a galley on this ship. Game bugs. If you try all you get is High Lookout. The GM's actually gave me a new ship and said it was a bug after tried it 2x. Thought I would just save some trouble for the next guy tryin it.

^ Sold - As for your PC on 1/5 with EA, I've seen them going in seville for around 75m. You have to think that SSIPs for one + mats will cost a good chunk of change. If you're lucky you might get one off someone who has outgrown it (like I did) for cheaper, maybe as low as 50m (Sold mine to a friend for that). Good luck!

Brandon, it depends on the particular TC and what skills it has modded in, the overall mods that are done to it and what purpose the buyer has in mind for it. Also whether or not an Original Ship's Skill has been added to it. As it is with any of the ships worth modding that far, what each player considers to be a well modded 5/5 TC varies quite a bit. Personally, I would say one that was built by a rank 20 Shipbuilder and stretched to maximum effective cargo, has Emergency Acceleration and Enhanced Ships Handling modded in, has full sails(+110 vertical and horizontal), a minimum of +2 Wave Resist so it can sail through a storm and High Lookout as Original Ships Skill would be a good 5/5 TC and even at that I would look for stuff like even more Wave Resist or some extra turn speed. Again though, that is personal preference, and honestly, what I would pay for or ask for one would vary as well from day to day. However, to give you a baseline figure for a ship like that, 100m would be a realistic price.
