      The Residents of the Plains
      No Expiration
      London Adventurer's Guild
We've received a request from the assistant to the Oxford Researcher. Something about investigating the animals that live on that prairie that you found. Seemed pretty intense about the project. Why don't you help out?

            Researcher Assistant
Hello, you are the one that investigated the mesa, butte and great plains, are you not? Oh! I am so envious! I can't believe that I wasn't the one given the opportunity to investigate those features! I've worked so hard for him after all! I can't believe he left it to a mere adventurer!

A Girl who Hates to lose
but I will not lose! He will recognize my ability after I too write a treatise on a unique discovery! And I am only asking you to go for me because everything he's interested in is just so far away! I mean, I can sail a boat just as well as you, ! can!

            Without Looking
investigate is, of course, at the landing north and on the coast opposite of Merida. After making your way deep into the area in a northeasterly direction, you go east of the great plains. I'm not exactly sure what, but there has to be some kind of animals there. Or there should be...No, I do too have an idea. And I need to show some results! So hurry off to Merida!

            A Dog like Cry
Animals that live in the prairies? We don't really get a lot of information from the interior. But someone said something about an animal that sounded that sounded kind of like a dog. Not sure if it really was a dog or not though. If you want to know more, you'll have to go to the great plains and ask around.

            Creature of the Plains
Something that sounds like a dog? Yes, we sometimes here that around here. I see them around standing on their hind legs chewing on grass all the time, but when I try to approach, they make these high pitched dog like noises. They're small, but you should see some across the river if you look hard enough.

Looking Hard at the Far Bank
As the Shopkeeper said, there are small animals that sound like dogs living in the prairies to the east of the great plains. We will have to look carefully in the grassy plains on the far side of the river as wedo our Ecological research.

An animal from the Great plain area of
central North America. It's body is
between 30-40 cm long. It digs deep
into the ground to create it's nest. It's
name originates from the sound it
makes, which is said to resemble the
                cry of a dog.
