If you have ducats to buy headache meds then that the best way to grind this skill.

If you have permits to east asia you can do the below especially its safe waters there now (copied from eco comment):

Where: Anping Scholar (China Lang) - r3 to r6 maps (7 max)
Steps:
1. browse book
2. Discover in Taiwan Southeast Landing (Same island as Anping)
3. Discover in Tamsui - Tamsui Southeast (Same island as Anping)
4. Back in Anping and report to He-Bin the discoveries
5. repeat step 1

No headache meds or port hopping needed. Use Research knowledge 1&2 (Oxford) for faster gain of skill prof for Eco skill. :)

Can't help you there, since I haven't had any success finding that outfit for myself yet. Some folks on merchant thought it would be around 500m-700m based on the stats, but prices will always vary. I wish you well in your own clothes-shopping.

does adv skills like bio , geo , archeo , etc need a boost from aide skill ? like shipbuilding who need aide to get to r20 , are there quest or maps that need this skills to be at r20 ?

There's no quests or maps that need R20 so there's no need to get it all the way there.

Max rank for quests is r17, and the game has plenty of boosts to go over r20, Aides are good to boost in the beginning.

A good way to grind this and ecological research skills at higher levels is to:

1. Collect multiple copies of River Shark Map R15 map from San Francisco (gives Chinese Sturgeon discovery)
2. Go to Western East Asia and discover map at the mouth of Yangtze River
3. Go to Anping, Taiwan and report the map discovery to He Bing
4. Repeat the map/reporting until you are out of maps, and go back to step 1

If anybody else has some suggestions, feel free to share them too!
