Far too many pre-quests to list. I lost count but there was over 30, and it took me and some friends several days of work, at 8 hours a day

Well for 8 hours a day and several days, you get more than just the job change card though. I got a eco +1 helmet, 2 different jaguar skin type outfits that have +1 collection and +1 procure, the white tiger helmet +1 plunder +1 assault +20 attack, and an amusing full body bear suit that i only needed to do a few more quests to finish, that had a few decent in game bonuses.
Anyone that thinks of getting this is in for a long haul, although the job quest itself needs eco rersearch 13, biology 15 and 50,000 adv fame, there was several pre-quest that needed an assortment of skills, i forgot the max rank that was needed on them but they were : archaeology, recognition, Geography, and swordplay i know 100% was rank 7
If you plan to do the last few quests after the ranger job for the full bear suit, like we did, then the requirements change to eco research 15, bio 15, adventure fame 60,000 and battle fame 23,000. The eco 15, bio 15 is not a quest req however, is the req to do the map, we only had eco 14 in our group and we got it after 3 attempts on both, i assume you can even do it at r13 eco since most eco research type skills can be done at -2, it just takes longer

Be warned that lot of these quests are hard to pull. With over 100k adventure fame I used over 200 QMP for just Monster bird, Demon servant and dangerous cloud. No less the other 30 or so quests.

Doing this for the second time due to the server wipe. doing this from zero discoveries, assuming you don't have any done previously, according to the Cwiki:
White God series : 13 unique entries including the map = 12 quests and 1 map
Devil Series : 5 Unique quests and weird bird quest which im excluding since its covered in the bird series
Weird Bird series : 8 Unique entries and 3 quests which im excluding because its covered in the white God series
Main Task line : 2 unique prequests, 2 references to white god series and the devil series which aren't quests in and of themselves just references, so im excluding them. 4 unique quests, number 4 yields the job card.
So Final Tally: White God 13, 8 Bird, 5 Devil, 6 Main = 32 Quests total, including the lynx map, assuming you have zero discoveries.
