It's a nice enough accessory in that it combines biology and eco. research, but its lack of effect doesn't help it very much. More often than not, you're better off equipping something that boosts biology over eco, since to make biology discoveries, your biology rank MUST match the number displayed, whereas eco can, like search and recognition, still work as long as you're within two ranks of the quest/map requirement (it just may take a little longer to find what you're after).

So really, anywhere from one to five million seems fair enough to me.

lol 1 to 5m for a 9 star quest and a long quest chain with high adventure skills. You buy it for 1 to 5m and I'll buy it for you for 15m if you can find one that sells that cheap. ign 10.DR.04.

Well, my apologies if I suggested too low a price, I was hoping to be more helpful than the person who suggested sunfish as a proper value. Thing is, there really is no established value for equipment in a player-based economy; we all set our own prices, and then others decide whether or not to pay it. A company mate bought a Transverse map for 5mil in a bazaar once, for example, and usually people try to sell those for much higher, if they sell them at all. I suppose next time, I'll just mind my own business, and say nothing at all. :(

maria was right and wrong at the same time. if u look at the stats, its not an impressive item by any means, but it takes quite a few quests to get. i know i wouldnt part with mine for anything but high amounts of cash but that is bc it's got some personal value for me bc of all the time invested into it.

A better item is the Book of Rare Creatures obtained during the EA quests related to the Xanadu chain. It's +2 Bio, +1 Eco, and has effect.
