The Soaring Pillars

London Adventurer's Guild
It is a request from a Researcher from Oxford University. He wants you to do a follow up investigation on the mesa you discovered at the western continent the other day. The bulk of the request has been sent to the Port Official at Merida. Head there.

1. Theories
I have been waiting for you. I have a message from that researcher. "If there is a table-like formation like a mesa, than it has been postulated that there will be a similar formation where advanced erosion has created a narrower, more isolated land structure. Can you confirm it? Be careful when you go to investigate.

2. Proof
We have been asked to head once again to the continent north of Merida to look for a geographical formation that looks like a mesa that has been further eroded and isolated to help prove a theory. It should be in roughly the same location as the mesa. So we just head north of Merida, work our way deep inland, and see if we recognize anything.

A land formation that looks like a giant
pillar. Formed when the table like mesas
are broken up and eroded.
Commonly seen in the North American
west.

I had LOTS of problems pulling this one, even at 110K Adv Fame and with Geo/Recog ranks quite a bit higher than requirements (I was 10/11 when pulled). 65 QMP's + 1 SQMP. Coincidence or not, I was able to pull it quite quickly (3 QMP's) when I equipped BOTH English and Spanish.

This whole quest chain is a PITA. each and every quest in it seems to be a rare spawn quest and is costing me 30 - 50 QMPs to spawn. This one cost me 50 QMPs.
If you plan on doing this for the shortcut to san francisco like i am, then bring several hundred QMPs and expect to use most of them.
