After of discover Oxford, it's a short chain of 6 quests which appears in Amsterdam and London alternately. Require skills Geo and Recognition.

Now that this is in GAMA, for a long time now, they added a carriage to San Francisco. This'll help anyone who still likes that good gold. GOOOOOLLDD! SWEET PRECIOUS GOOLD! HehHEe, I need some of the'r preCIouS GOULD! :)

Was it not last October that the carriage was added here? It is the large gold nuggets that are most sought after, at any rate. The weekly rewards for turning them in are far from insubstantial, to some.

Most of the stuff available for gold nugget exchange isn't that great, though I think all of the wearable equipment is required for a memorial album. Also, while rare, if you get a big enough gold nugget, it's actually possible to exchange it for a Large Storm Sail, the equivalent of 400m ducats ingame.

I finished my MA and never got to dig gold again, it's pointless at r20 Search takes forever to get a Large Gold Nugget and most likely won't be bigger than 10k, so you need to go again. Even the normal gold you dig out gives too little profit to even bother going there.

You'll never make as much mining nuggets as you would Nanban or dungeoning, but there are a few nice rewards, like the LSS, or a +2 Storage hat wearable by both genders. As with all things in UWO, judge for yourself whether or not it's worth the trouble of doing. The GP shortcut to California is the real prize of this quest chain, particularly with the future expansions connecting San Francisco to Boston via railways.
