Jakarta Adventurer's Guild
Of the island east of Malacca, there are only a few left which haven't been explored, save the smallest ones. All that is left is the island that the Spanish voyager Y igo Ortiz de Retez is said to have landed upon... That island apparently lies even further east from the Spice Islands. Go to Makassar and gather information!

Washikuku Ceremonial Pottery 1. Town in the east
Islands? Well, there are a lot of those around here...
Oh yeah, there was a trader here once, who came from the city of Lun. You'd have to travel far to the east to get there, but there might be more information there.
2. A different language
An island to the east? Yes, there is one there. It's huge. However, it has no port to speak of. There is a giant mountain range in the center, so perhaps you can find gold or some other precious ore. However, there are many languages used on the same island. It might be difficult to trade there...
3. Where the sun rises
Europeans really like to name things, don't they? A Spanish sailor name Yigo Ortiz de Retez came and named that island "New Guinea". Apparently the people there looked like people in Guinea to him. We call the island "Irian", meaning "where the sun rises".
4. Rare animals
I've said to many different places, but that island has the most diverse animal population I've ever seen. Not only are they different, they're unique - animals with bags on their stomachs, strange plants, giant insects. It's a scholar's paradise!
5. Island to the east of Run
There is an island to the east of the town of Lun. A Spanish sailor name Yigo ortiz de Retez landed there and name it New Guinea. The island's inhabitants are wholly unlike those of the Spice Islands, and the animal and plant life there is unique as well. I should take a look at the island and report.

- The Island of New Guinea ★★★★ (Geography) Exp:624 Fame:260
An island east of Timor, large enough to be mistaken for a continent. There is a high mountain range that dominates the central portion, so there is a big difference in air temperature between the highlands and lowlands. Depending on the location on the island, people speak different languages and have different cultures.
