What are the best goods to nanban trade with China?
Curious05-26-2015
I know I'm replying to a month old comment but I thought I'd reply anyway.
In my experience, everything China likes is a pain in the butt to obtain without high skill ranks, skills of which are hard to rank compared to many other trade skills.
China likes
Marble Sculpture,
Musk,
Fine Clothing,
Jewellery, and
Western Books.
Best place to get Marble Sculptures would be between Genoa and Pisa. Only problem is that you can only buy like, 15 or so at a time without art trading.
Musk can only be bought in Calicut and Cochin. Again, you can only by a small amount at a time without perfume trading. I've got a total rank of 14 counting the boosters I have and I can only buy 65 or so at a time. It's also got pirates sailing around it half the time so that's another con.
Fine Clothing is only sold in 2 ports and they're not close to each other so port resetting is needed in this case. Just like the others, they are hard to obtain even with a high crafts rank.
Jewellry is even worse than Fine Clothing.
Western Books are also a pain. They're only sold in Amsterdam and Lisbon so port hopping is out of the question. It's a little more forgiving if you don't have
Sundries Trading as you can buy about 30-35, depending on your nationality. The only problem is, Western Books are the only trade good you can buy that are classified as sundries. All other sundries goods are Nanban only. So as you can imagine, ranking the sundries skill is really hard, at least for now. You can also make Western Books but collecting the mats for it and what all is more trouble than buying them.
There are other goods that China likes, but these are just the more easier ones to get...
Donce05-26-2015
You can make western books from paper. Marble sculptures are also craftable :)
ReaD05-26-2015
if u have extra time and/or purchase order 3 with high rank of textile trading and also food(maybe)...
-buy
Manilla and turn it into paper then western book could make the short route easier although might take more time...but...you could go empty cargo and land on manila to do this....
wine might be favorable depending on current backstock market
anything..check on backstock market before carry the item to trade..
p/s: this is purely for nanban trading..not bribing (for opening the nanban market)
BIakeC05-27-2015
Another alternative is, if your good at land battle, the newly added Rome dungeon drops goods that are decent for nanban trading like
Glasswork,
Oil Paintings,
Silverware, etc not just useful in China, but in other EA nations as well. The drop rate is a lot higher then Syracuse, but it can still take awhile to to get a full boatload if you multi boxing.
TopGuns06-18-2017
Completely unbalanced system they want every one to run with wine to japan if u have craft trading at 10 u can just buy 78 glasswork from naples per po while u can load more than 6600 wine with 9 po2 . they just need every one to load wine to get soari this is ea for them i have no idea why they make other 3 countries then !stupid developers
Curious06-18-2017
There is a little bit of balance going on when you think about it. Because it is so easy to get wine for Japan, much more players trade in Japan. This means that you have a much lower chance of getting a decent trade if you bring wine to Japan. However, if you take the extra time to stock up on something like Musk or Marble Statues, you're virtually guaranteed a 1:1 trade every time because no one else is doing what you're doing. At least that's my experience, I rarely trade in Japan nowadays because of the instability factor.
Juicebox06-18-2017
In addition to the curious ones reasons. Its also done as an incentive to be a pirate. By having a super easy port to nanban at ie. Sakai pirates only have to stalk one port which makes you easy prey. So it offers you a choice either you do the easy wine to sakai and get dat ass pirated or you bring more "exotic" things to trade at less popular ports but at the advantage of no pirates stalking that port. I like choice ^_^
