You can't refine alchemy
Guilder09-02-2017
There's a couple other Alchemy boost items not listed here. Not being an alchemist or owning them personally, I'll put their Google Translated names/stats here, until someone else comes along to tidy up with their real names.
Body: "Alhimisto Palt" +2 Medicine trading, +1 Metal trading/Alchemy, 50k fame to equip, and no title required to equip. Produced using
Adept's Robe in Transmutation Alchemy (R12 Alchemy/Sewing). Can be upgraded to EX form; this adds "Equipment effect: Trade purchase increase R8" to the already impressive (and cool looking) outfit.
"Genius robe" Storage 2, Textile trading/Alchemy +1. Uses an Adept's robe as a base ingredient; requires Alchemy Meister (R15 base Alchemy skill) title to equip, and R15 Alchemy/Sewing to produce (among other things). Technically EX as well, as it gives the Equipment effect: "Reducing Behavior Power Reduction R5."
Hand: "Nigred Gloves" +1 Alchemy. Obtained by completing the Memorial Album, "The Power of Orichalcum", which requires creating one each of the Orichalcum weapons through Transmutation Alchemy. They are:
Atromitos (base weapon:
Zweihander )
Blitz (base weapon:
Lunar-crested Knife )
Flugbahn (base weapon:
Composite Bow )
Sanctus (base weapon:
Bourdon Lance )
Hexagon (base weapon:
Morgenstern )
Valoroso (base weapon:
Battle Axe )
Penetrare (base weapon: Western Rifle, only made through R13 Casting via Home Production and a 19th Century Adept of Ages title)
Accessory: St. Germain's Secret Book. +2 Archaeology, +1 Alchemy, 5k to equip. Obtained through the 19th Century Treasure Hunt theme, Bizarre Rumors, but since those titles are exclusively related to unlocking San Francisco, Grimoire TH theme is much easier and quicker to obtain an accessory from, in my opinion.
Weapon: This next one's courtesy of Tammer from the Memorial Album comments section. Quote:
New MA: "Alchemy Experiment Result (No.1)
Adept's Robe
Adept's Biretta
Gold Sword
Gold Short Sword
Turquoise Green Ring
Indigo Ring
Flame Red Ring
White Marble Ring
Trained Rosewood Plating
Trained Iron Plating
Reward is "Forbidden Alchemy Book". It is a +1 alchemy item which goes in the weapon slot, has 100 dura and no effect, and requires only 20k fame to equip. It has Equipment Effect Increase Nanban Rates r15.
... Well, that's all. I'm leaving recipe ingredients out since I'm unsure what may or may not have changed in GAMA. Forgive any typos or the like on my end. Cheers.

Does anyone know how I can get orichalcum?
Guilder09-03-2017
Three ways that I know of.
1. Combine Mysterious Gold through Transmutation Alchemy. M.Gold is only obtainable from treasure chests in the Labyrinth, specifically boss rooms after defeating the Minotaur, who rarely appears as it is. (M.Gold was available through past bottle drops once, but that was a while ago.) I hear the process is neither cheap nor easy; haven't done it myself, though.
2. Pick up Orichalcum from treasure chests in the Temple of Poseidon, located in the Acropolis of Atlantis. You must defeat a party of boss NPCs who look like living statues; Talos squadrons, one friend calls them. Not easy to do, but not impossible either; Orichalcum can even rarely be found in normal treasure chests on random dungeon floors, but not in large enough quantities to work with, and the boss room chest drops are more consistent.
3. Ori can randomly spawn from Ancient Tech. Research reward boxes too; the more points you get from "ATR", the better the box reward will be, and the more Orichalcum it can potentially drop (x5 Ori is the best possible drop rate, apparently).
However.... Atlantis is not in the game right now, and therefore you cannot get Ori through method #2 right now. It will appear sporadically in the future, for one month at a time, then disappear again. If GAMA follows the Japanese model, you can look for it to show up in October. Maybe.
Having said that, there are some players who stockpiled Orichalcum and would be willing to sell it. Guess that'd be four ways, then? The price varies, but it's usually expensive; 200m is the highest I've seen it sell for. Prices always vary from seller to seller, of course, so check around.
You can find more detailed information on Orichalcum and Atlantis here (OGP login required): nforum.ogplanet.com/uwo/forum_posts.asp?TID=655058

Since recipes are a bit dated on the DB, here's a new alchemy recipe, courtesy of Huseyin-Gazi:
Explorer's Household Medicine
This can be made now through Alchemy at Paracelcus Estate in Venice.
Requirement: R11 Alchemy and R11 Handicraft
Ingridients: 1x
Gaseous Drug + 10x
Honey + 10x
Digitalis
Quantity per production: 4 ~ 5
This is also one of the best way to grind Alchemy. :-)
And as reported by Aguirre,
Fool's Feet can be strengthened to 100 Defense via John Dee's recipe, "Forging Fool's Feet". See more details under the article page's comments.
Lastly, there is a +1 to Alchemy/Linguistics Original Ship skill called Special Lab. It requires R4 Management to be activated. Think that's all... cheers.
cristina09-07-2017
gaseous drug seems hard to obtain
Aguirre09-07-2017
Gaseous drug requires seals of slyph, flask, and green ore. To make seal of slyph, you need seals of sorcery, eagle wings, and salt. To make seal of sorcery, you need salt, mandrake, and silver.
The madness of alchemy...
YoGolan09-11-2017
I grinded alchemy from R8 to r13, doing experiments with metal work, processed lumber, colored ores and making 100 defence gloves and fool feets.
Is a waste imo to grind alchemy using recipe with Gaseous Drug, instead this, go and try making gloves/boots 100 defence.
Now, at certain colonies can buy colored ores for 10-12k each, r20 mineral let you to buy over 200 of each. Actually this is the best way to grind alchemy!
rokr09-11-2017
Im using this to grind Alchemy:
London - John Dee(Town's mans Recipe)
Advancement of alchemy(r12): x1gold + x15 Rare books + x15Mercury -> 4x Gold
Guilder09-11-2017
Cool ideas. There's no right or wrong way to play/grind; it's just a good idea to include tips like that here where they can help others. Thanks to each of you for contributing. Cheers.

For your voyaging convenience, please recall that all EX Effect skills (including those from transmutation alchemy or otherwise) can be viewed from the new Skill section currently located above recently posted comments on the front page via "Others(1)" -- you should find equipment links on each page as well. Hope that helps. Cheers, and great online voyaging to you.

02-01-2020So, i just got a r13 alchemy Quest from Athens that i could not find anything even in Jap wiki. I could not finish it because need to do transmutation alchemy and i'm not familiar with it. I'll post what i have so maybe help someone.
Athens Merchant's Guild - 9 Star Difficulty
Quest Name: The Musket made form Legendary Metal
Requeriments: Italian / Alchemy r13 / Egypt and Atlantis (Pre-Quest)
Quest Details: This is something i heard from Paracelsus in Venice, but, you've done "transmutation alchemy", right?.
If you have, will you attemps producing 'a musket that demonstrates the true value of a legendar metal,' or something like that? i have no clue how you're supposed to do this. but if you can, please take it to Paracelsus.
Reward : 3.000.000 D
I tryed to talk to Paracelsus but nothing happened, so i suppose that you must have this legendary musket in hands.
If someone knows how to do the musket and if theres another reward by completing this quest and want to share, we will be very glad to hear!
I didn't know how to creat a page, so i posted it there.

Unless I'm much mistaken, the legendary musket in question is this one:
Penetrare EX
Quests of this nature apparently exist for other Orichalcum-based weapons as well. Observe:
(g.t.)A sword made of a ring of metal / gvdb.mydns.jp/db/module/QuestDB/action/QuestShow?id=5355
I have no idea what happens if you try to take the quest while carrying the weapon(s); nobody I've talked to so far has been willing to risk sacrificing their fancy weapons due to what a pain it is to try and craft them compared to Japanese servers where SPBs are not needed to make transmutation alchemy toys.
The quest I linked above that leads to GVDB seems to suggest your sole reward is the ducat amount listed for the quest; if so, it's hardly worth the trouble of running said quest. Hope that helps. Cheers.
Guilder02-28-2020
Some unlisted boosts.
Body:
Alchemist Robe /
Alchemist Robe EX +1
Head:
Alchemist Hood /
Alchemist Hood EX +1
Hand:
Nigredo Gloves +1
Weapon:
Philosopher's Sacred Sword +1
Accessory:
Emerald Tablet +1
St. Germain's Secret Book +1
There actually are some others, including +2 weapons and +1 shoes. Unfortunately, they were part of a series of crossover events with the Atelier JRPG franchise and can currently only be found on East Asian servers; their chances of being released on Maris are probably not good. You can preview them here:

Well, who knows. Maybe if we ask nicely in suggestions or support tickets... in any case. I hope that helps you budding alchemists out there a little bit. Cheers, and try not to lose your sanity- I mean, great online transmuting to you.
