Like Guandishizu
This letter is modeled after a picture drawn by Guan Yu. If you recall, I had you deliver it once. I have a copy of the contents. 'I Gain No Honor in my Quest for history, but respect the Conviction of Our Great and Noble lord, doubt claims of order or permanence. for even the greatest trees perish.' It is different from the original so I examined it closely. But I didn't see any deeper meaning.

Meaning of the Letter
"I will not leave my name to history, but you have made me very happy. When many gather together, theories diverge and meaning is soon lost." It is likely that he realizes that the legendary Imperial Seal does not exist and that he has set himself on a path with no end.

Too Late
Perhaps he is trying to say that he is happy in his work. How inconsiderate. He knows I can't ask him to come home. He will never find closure in his work. Someone has to do it for him. And yet, he sends such a letter. For what purpose?

Maiden of the Three Kingdoms Inspired
I see. And she calls herself a scholar. I was so astonished when I learned that she had once aided Father in his research and inventions. A Sacrifice for Dreams

Why must a family be a burden? Did father give up on his dream because of us? The wife of Lord Liu Bei chose to give her life for the Kingship of her husband and the safety of her child. Lady Huang aided her husband Master Zhuge Liang in bringing glory to Shu with her knowledge and wisdom. That is what family means!

The Hidden Meaning
I believe this letter is modeled after the famed Guandishizhu, Lord Guan Yu's poem on bamboo. That poem was a secret message written by Guan Yu to Liu Bei after Guan Yu had surrendered to Cao Cao. So I am sure that Father's letter also had hidden meaning.
