Bastet's Fruit
Hm? Magical flute? Oh, you must be talking about Bastet's glittering flute. Bastet is a goddess with the head of a cat and is known as a protector goddess, as well as the goddess of music. The flute she gave the ancient prince of Egypt is that glittering flute. Scholars may know something about this.

Bastet and Sekhmet
Bastet's head was originally depicted as a lioness but there is already another Egyptian goddess that has the head of a lioness. That is the goddess of war and destruction, Sekhet. Maybe they were once the same god. There were also some people, such as the queen, who had masks of both Bastet and Sekhet.

Amarna's queen
The beautiful yet strict queen of Amarna loved music and lived for battle. The goddess Bastet that gave the prince the glittering flute may even be referring to her. If you want to know more about that queen you should read the book "Amarna". You can find it on the theology shelf.

Tel el-Amarna
In ancient Egypt two gods, the wind god Amun and the sun god Aten, were very popular. However, the king and queen did not like the fact that the priests of Amun had become so powerful, so they moved their capital to el-Armana and forbid the worship of any god other than Aten.

The beauty who came from afar
The queen was an even more devout follower of Aten than the king and she fought fiercely against the priests of Amun, making the king relocate the capital and single-handedly took control. As the queen's name, which means "a beautiful woman from a distant land", suggests it is said that she came from a foreign land to marry the king. And while she was very beautiful, she was as tough as nails and extremely strict.

The queen of Egypt
