  A huge species of bird that lives on the island of Madagascar. They stand at 3m in height and can weigh over 500kg. They lay their eggs in sandy areas, and the eggs alone can weigh up to 10kg. They rely on the heat of the sun to hatch their eggs. They are hunted for their feathers and meat, and if this continues, they will be hunted to extinction.
