1. Source of the English French feud
The Viking nation that found its home in France? That must be the Duchy of Normandy. It means "Land of the Normans".
When this nation attacked the island of Britain and became the King of England, the relationship between the English and French got very complex. The scholar in London should know more.

2. Establishment of the Normans
The fiefdom of Normandy was established in the beginning of the 10th century in Northern France. It then conquered England, starting the Duchy of Normandy. As a result, France came to own a part of England, which caused some fighting. It only calmed down recently.
