Is there any merchant requeriment to trigger "Fortune time" when mining there?
I have 3 alts at the same fleet.

Only my merchant alt (who have all merc skills) trigger fortune time and, for this, enter in ferver, being able to collect larg gold nuggets.

My other 2 alts (one with all adventure skills and other with all maritime skills) have search rank much higher than my merchant alt but never get "Fortune time" and never trigger "Ferver".

Someone knows the solution for this?

Or maybe have something to do with another requeriment that not merchant skills? I had the little gold rush storyline done with both of them.

Gold mining requires:

1. Qualify for and accept the Searching Further for a New World quest. Completion up to the entrance of San Francisco is required at minimum.
2. Talk to the Nugget Exchange NPC by port official
3. Go to this landing zone and after a short cutscene, use Search in one of the many nugget mining sites.
4. A character must obtain Gold Nugget from using Search; after a short scene, gold mining is permanently unlocked.


It's been a while but iirc, Fortune Time triggers every 2-3 real life minutes. Maybe it was different? Apologies... in any case, if and when you obtain a gold nugget during Fortune Time, it becomes Fever Time. If a nugget is obtained outside of Fortune Time, no Fever Time trigger occurs.


Important: you CANNOT be carrying a Large Gold Nugget or a Large Gemstone (Cape Town's Kimberley Mines) on your person. If you have it, Fortune/Fever will never trigger. You must exchange your item at the appropriate mining NPC. Be sure to check for an icon on your character page (C key shortcut) to be safe.
