@Enver: Direct Hit Prevention is what makes it real good which other heavy ship do you see with this skill available? Having only 1 side instead of 2 being exposed to crit just makes it so much harder to crit and if you dun crit it's really hard to kill this 43 armor max improve 8/8 (will be 10/10) beast!

Am I the only one who remembers NM's initial announcement of festive ships as super high turn but low dura? I clearly remember my girlfriend saying "maybe that's why they call it ambush first class vaiss" when I said "wtf 16-20 turn speed on these ship, but they have like 600-800 dura prob just troll ships" now I check the page again the ships have better than mod ship's dura and normal turn... So am I deluded or someone remembers the same dura/turn change?

I would recommend Welcome Melee unless you want to die quickly with just 150ish crew and Direct Hit Prevention to have 3-quarters that is immune to being crit after all crit is what kills normal hits rarely do enough damage (just note that Evasion / Normal or Double Shot Defense / Direct Hit Prevention will take up all 3 skill slots). Also note that these 2 skills cannot be added as original skills.

For original skill add drainage pump if you feel like it already has OP armour values but then again remember it also has OP dura so flood may be barable it's really personal preference. Seamine removal will surely be a great option too!

I don't think you can do that. I'm pretty sure you can only have 2 optional skills per boat. Also, the required level is 70 which limits the amount of improvements.

its available to be build since Tierra Americana came out, the problem is the levels to use it, unless the recent patch allowed it or lowered its reqs, wich i doubt. Anyways no improved gunport like AFCV, altough faster, would be hard to judge which would come out better in battle on average.

its not hard or expensive to build, the hulls a bit of a pain in the ass is all. I know numerous people who already have the hull built and stowed away, they just aren't stupid enough to build the ship yet.

Davido and Crazy Psycho Chick are just trying to rip people off. this ship will most likely sell for 75 million to 100 million tops on a new build once the cap is lifted and they are trying to get billions. LMAO

D Gaff Sail was 50m now 500m and MAV was 200m now turned 2 billion...how much would this ship cost when level caps is lifted? this might occur without EA update, which is possible since every server is different..so the question is, what should be the price if I would to buy this ship now? the hull alone for this ship is already very hard and time consumpting to make, if someone sells it for 200 mil only he/she is plainly crazy, if you feel its worth 200 mil then spend a lifetime looking for an SB crazy enough or saint enough to sell for that low, or use your 200 mil pocket change to grind handcrats to 15, shipbuilding to 19
, investing in florence deliveries to make ingredient for hull possible, trying to find the rare custom ropes and investing on rio to see fashinable ropes recipe, and developing colony to see final hull recipe and ship recipe. all this effort alone is worth way more than you mere 200 mil, take that pocket change and go buy you some inteligence and rational though, no ships for ya, maybe in the very distant future you may have a crapy and used one from a player quiting the game or that bought a new overpower ship, but i can assure you, it would cost way more than your mere 200mil.

ok, do some research, check how the hull is done, how many population your colony has to have to show the recipe, gather 800 handcraft contrib for florence to make the permit ingredient, go find custom haul and custom salvage ropes wich this site here doesnt even give a clear idea of where to get to go to rio to make the high fashionable rope for hull recipe then after all that go grind your handcraft to very high level, then bring a rank 18 shipbuilder all the way to your colony to finnaly make the hull, if you do all that and still think its easy, then go around and make ironsides and selll em for 200 mil.......wich will never happen. but good luck would be nice to buy your 200 mil ships to ressel em for a lot more for players who knows this ship true value. Do yourself and other players a favour and dont post your biased wrong opinions on topics you have no idea how works, such as shipbuilding, or go try to convince shipyard master NPC to make you an ironsides barca wich will be probably the best ship you will ever have by being that cheap and dont giving hard work from shipbuilders players its due value

Is the hull hard to make? Yes I believe it is unless you have friends who already have these skills worked up. There are several colonies that have already put in the work for r2 shipyard so they aren't as hard to find now as they used to be.

Will this ship _EVER_ be worth 1 billion? Well I can't say it won't but that would mean NC ships would be selling for 10 billion and I really don't want to think about that possibility.

Today's market? I don't care how hard it is to make, it's not an NC ship and I can't see paying more than 200M for it, and that's twice as much as the next biggest ticket non-nc ship i can think of.

yeah i can see that, 80% of the ships used in japan's ESF are FCVs, with some royal sovereigns, quite alot of the otto galleass, few others, even as low royal frigates and 52 vaiss, maybe ambush vaiss, no ironsides at all.

Think about it IS with 1241 dura+DHP and 153 sailors +WM VS FCV with 1363 dura with 202sailors + APN. Your choice which ship you use ^^

Festive ironsides base material is festive wood (teak equivalent) and has a 110% durability modified. National pannel is 141% modifier, so 1170 base. Thats way with +250 dura reach 1420.
Normal ironsides as you can see in this page, when panneled, has 1001 max dura... so this ship max is 1251. Cosidering you need to use a panel as part of the improvements, to reach max dura you need to use a 1 skill + full dura build, not leaving much room for extra stats in other fields...
Also, NEVER dismantle a non NC battleship! The hull itself adds 60-80 dura and 1-3 armor...
