                  You've got to keep this one a secret. I deal in information and this is like me buying information from you. Anyway... Lorenzo saying that medicine and poison are the same means that the Medici can make either medicine or poison, right?

                  If the poison floating around the world was made by the Medici, then they are alsothe ones that can make an antidote to that. So everyone must look to the Medici to live! How do you oppose someone like that?! I know they're hiding some secret recipes for medicine and poison!

                  Of course there is
                  I must say I'm disappointed that you can entertain such simplistic thoughts. Of course, we keep a record of the medicines that we mix and how to do so. And yes it contains records of how to make poison into a medicine.

                  The Truth Behind Medicine and Poison
                  In compounding medicines, even those things considered poisons, if used properly, can be used as a medicine. For example, for those in serious pain, using a diluted form of a poison that paralyzes the nerves can help ease their distress. That is what I mean by Poison and Medicine being the same.

                  Taking too Much Medicine is Deadly
                  Diluting poison creates medicine. Well, perhaps not for all of them. But that is why we always recommend not using excessive amounts of medicine. And we do not keep our records secret. Though, as the head of our family, they are in my possession. And I do believe there are other families more familiar with poison than we are....

                  The informant's guess was denied, and in fact laughed at. But since I was asked to keep this a secret, I guess I will refrain from telling them the truth. Lorenzo says that the Medici have kept a record of their medicines from long ago. As further proof that the informant is wrong, I will have them show it to me.
