Hey, you helped me before out by investigating the people who live on New Guinea... I understand that you talked to the Market Keeper of Dili then. It seems he wants to speak to you again about that. Why not go there to see him if you have the time?

                    1. What happened back then
Ah, there you are. I've already told you how the artwork on the island caught my eye, and that got me in trouble when I tried to start trading with them. I've heard that after that you visited the island, examined the traditions there and achieved some real results. So there's something I wanted to tell you.

                    2. The reason behind it
To start with, I couldn't understand how you were able to investigate the island without the people there resenting you, while I couldn't. You even brought shields back, and have achieved exactly what I wanted to, so why did they reject me...? But now I've finally found out why.

                    3. Understanding pride
They believe in spirits and elementals, and live alongside them. They believe that the statues, shields and head-dresses which they create contain these spirits. They are proud of this lifestyle, and there I was trying to sell everything they are so proud of...

                    4. A symbol of proud warriors
The shields and head-dresses that you found were used in battle between the races, placing their pride and prestige on the line. The chest pieces equipped during combat are decorated with the teeth of animals, shells and wings to show how proud the wearer is. Having uncovered this information I did consider going back to the island... but I changed by mind.

                    5. My pride, your pride
Just as they live, proud in battle and their lifestyle, I take pride in my own work. You too, right? Now you've learned of the culture and history of that island I hope you can take pride in going to search for the chest piece. Good luck.

                    6. Pride of an adventurer
Information from the merchant reveals that the people of that island believe strongly in spirits, and are proud to go into battle. Is there pride to be found in every culture and way of life? Investigate the island of New Guinea, taking care not to repeat the mistakes made by the merchant.

Chest decorations worn when battling with other tribes. Men decorate themselves to look very masculine and to show their pride to others, using feathers, leaves, shells, and animal fangs.
