Man who knows birds
A strange bird? ...I don't know if it's relevant, but a young man that came to drink here the other day was talking about a bird. He's from this city, so he should be around somewhere. You should go ask him.

A coal black body with crimson beak
The bird I saw was jet black, with a crimson beak. I saw one of them on a tree, in a land to the south of Benguela. Its tail had small white dots on it. That's about all I know of it.

A second man who knows birds
You. You kept talking about some sort of bird with the barkeep, right? Then go talk to the people in the Luanda tavern. They kept talking about some sort of strange bird there. They all like their drinks, so if you buy them one, I reckon they'll tell you anything.

A slightly different colour
You want to hear about the bird? Alright, I'll tell you anything. I saw that strange bird to the south of here. I saw a flock of them on a tree, but each one had a slightly different colour. Some were black, some were a deep green, others were inbetween...

A strange phenomenon
Well, a few differences in colour are nothing rare, but when I kept looking, something strange happened. The colour of their feathers changed! And many times, too, sparkling the whole while! That shocked me, sure enough. But you know, they all had white spots and red beaks.

Face off?
I also saw a flock of them once. It seemed like they were fighting each others. Three of them had a scrap of something in their beaks, and kept waving it around. The rest of them were standing around and making a huge racket. But sure enough, they all the same tail and beak colours.

Barkeeper's hunch
I heard those stories. Maybe they change colour depending on the angle you see them from? Of course, that's just a guess. If you're going to look for them, you might have to look at every green or black bird you can find. Either way, a colour-changing bird is a strange thing.

Habitat of a strange bird
The strange bird changes its colours. To look further into it, go to the land to the south of Benguela and search by the giant dead tree.
