            Seville Adventurer's Guild
You investigated the Yucatan Peninsula before, right? And you reported that there were building-like structures in that region. I now want you to find out what those structures are. Like do people live there? And, if so, what kind of ethnic group are they? First, you should ask around in Santo Domingo.

Ruins of the Mayan civilization that flourished on the Yucatan peninsula. Chichen-Itza apparently means by the spring. The Mayans spread over an extremely wide area. Their towns were centered on the pyramid-shaped temple with other buildings including a sacred spring, warrior's temple, and astronomical observatory.

to get this quest all i need is the "at the end of the caribbean" and the 2 theology maps only?

You don't need any theology maps to get this quest. "At the end of the caribbean" is sufficient. After you have done this quest, then you will also be able to find the maps when you read at the right archives. The quest unlocks the maps, not the other way around :-).

Just used 40-45 QMPS, why cant I get this quest to pop? I have already completed the prequest and have all the required skill including the language.

JP wiki says "adventure fame 19864" needed. It's also a rare quest, and Seville, like all European capitals, generates a LOT of quests besides this one.

That fame number is very accurate. I posted yesterday as Naoyasu and was about 1k fame under that number. I grinded some adventure and am now only 100 fame or so over and got quest on the 5th QMP. Tyvm Lancelot

This quest cannot, to the best of my knowledge, be repeated after its completion... unless you lose the discovery card. As there is no ornament for Chichen Itza, the only other way to lose the card is through an official debate tournament (put it in your deck, and hope you lose), or, and this is the easier way, do a Treasure Hunt theme.

When Treasure Hunting, Discovery cards can be used when you are combining clues; when Chichen Itza appears, select it, and hope it's lost when successfully combining clue pieces. Note that the pool of cards is randomly chosen and changes at various times (I think it's daily, but it could be sooner than that.. still testing), so don't expect it to happen right away.

hmm good to hear that, thanks Guilder :)

                                    03-13-2014
Another way to loose the card is to present it to the city official in your colonial capital, or in Lima, in Ambon or in Ternate. But that is also iffy. You usually may get a limited selection of cards you may present, they change every day in a seemingly random way and there's no guarantee the one you want to get rid of will appear on the list soon, or ever. Loosing it through the treasure hunt clue combining process appears easier, at least the random list is longer and you don't need to travel in order to check :-).

Confirmed this is not a rare quest as defined by the jwiki. at levels 65/75/70 I was able to take this quest and all of the other level 60 unlock quests and share em with 3 company members that needed it.

All of the lvl 60 unlock quests are repeatable

Along with "Battle of the stars", this quest unlocks an 8* quest from Istanbul "Investigation of the Mysterious Pyramid" 9 recognition, 11 archeology, Spanish.

"Ultramarine Cetus" Update (upcoming Japan server release) will apparently relax the Level 65 discovery requirement and reduce the number of discoveries needed to unlock your level cap.
