      The Banshee's Tears
      No Expiration
      London Adventurer's Guild
      Here's an interesting tip:
Apparently there's a priceless treasure called "The Banshee's Tears." But before you go look for it, you may want to find out what exactly a "Banshee" is.

                What is a banshee?
                What? Banshee?
                Hmmm, banshee... banshee... Sounds familiar...
Hm? Sounds like that merchant's customer over there knows something.

                Female fairy
i do believe the word "banshee" is Gaelic for "fairy woman". Gaelic is the language used by the Celts and is commonly used in Ireland.

                Banshee's foretell death
The banshee is a female spirit that forewarns people of death. For example, by washing the clothes of the one who is about to die in the river while crying. Even the mythical Cu Chulainn is said to have seen a banshee washing his clothes and armor in the river before his final battle.
...So why did you want to hear about such a dreadful fairy anyway?

                Gemstone of Gae Bolg
The Banshee's Tear? You mean that gemstone that is unlucky as a banshee's tear because whoever gets their hands on it dies? I heard it was set in the hilt of Gae Bolg's sword. Supposedly Gae Bolg stole it after Cu Chulainn saw the banshee crying and then he died soon after. I suppose that's where the story came from originally.

                Stone that brings unhappiness
The Banshee's Tear was passed down to this church long ago, but it brought us nothing but tragedy. We buried it deep in the ground by the fence right by the gate at the entrance to town. What? The stone in Gae Bolg's sword? Hahaha... You're kidding... right?

                The Banshee's Tears
The gemstone referred to as the Banshee's Tear is buried by the fence right by the gate at the entrance to Dublin.
I should use the "Search" command to dig for it. I'll need knowledge of appraising treasure if I want to appraise it though.

A jewel bearing the name of a fairy Banshee, herald of death in Celtic mythology. Once set in the deadly Gae Bulg spear, it was removed and buried deep below ground for fear that it would bring bad luck.
