          No.16251

          Edit
          Crusade of the people
          No Expiration
          Lisbon Adventurer's Guild
Surely you have heard of the Crusades? Officially there were eight Crusades, but there were other "unofficial" Crusades as well. A certain monk was said to have led it, but we would like you to find out more details. Start by asking around the Bordeaux tavern.

                              1. Ask the official
I don't know much about the proper Crusades either. I've heard of the Lionheart, and Saladin maybe.
If anyone were to know anything in this town, it would be the town official. Go ask him.

                              2. Rarely spoken of Crusade
That would be the People's Crusade. A monk by the name of Peter the Hermit, who led the movement, started his lectures in these parts, I have heard.
I don't know the details. I believe someone wants to keep it a secret. Ask the priest at the church in Amsterdam.

                              3. Crusade that ended in disaster
The People's Crusade... No Catholic would enjoy talking about that. It was caused by the Pope agitating the civilians. As a result, tens of thousands of people, led by Peter the Hermit, went to reclaim the holy land, but the result was a disaster. You should study about it in the town archives.

                              4. Last of the people's crusades
Tens of thousands of people, led by Peter the Hermit, traveled by land through Calais towards Jerusalem, raiding and pillaging along the way.
The People's Crusade turned into nothing more than a rioting mob, and were easily destroyed by the Turkish army. Peter returned for reinforcements and was never seen again.

                              5. Footprints of Peter
I read that the People's Crusade, led by Peter the Hermit, traveled through Calais. Then perhaps the church there might have something.
I should search the back row seats, to the right.
