Crusade Tragedy
No Expiration
Seville Adventurer's Guild
You know a lot about the Crusades, don't you? A job just came in specifically for you. They want you look into that incident 100 years after the crusades, where all those French children disappeared. Talk to the scholar about the Crusades first though.

The Staff of Peter the Hermit Crusade Tradegy
Etienne's Staff 1. Origin of the Crusades
It all started when the Byzantine emperor asked the Pope in Rome for help, when the Anatolian peninsula was occupied by the Islamic kings. It would have been a great oppurtunity to reclaim Jerusalem. There are books regarding the Crusade in my collection, so I will talk to you some more after you've read them.
2. Participants in the Crusades
The Crusades were joined by not only knights, but their squires, families and pilgrims who dreamt of the re-conquering of the holy land.
There were other Crusades, one naturally formed out of civilians and one composed only of children.
3. Youth Crusade
The one you are looking for is probably the Children's Crusades. If you would like to know more, you should look in the books at Marseilles. The children you speak of were French, and they say they visited Marseilles.
4. Young etienne
Stephen of Cloyes claimed to recieve a message from God, and other boys and girls responded to that and travelled to Marseilles. They could not afford a ship to cross the sea, and so did not know what to do, and their trail was lost there.
5. Fate
It was later found out that they actually travelled to Alexandria by ship. However, only a few arrived safely. Most of those children became slaves or were killed.
Perhaps in Alexandria, you can find aomething to mourn their loss...
6. Crusade tradegy
Children, under the rally of French boy Stephen, left for Jerusalem as the Children's Crusade. However, their adventure failed. Perhaps if I land west of Alexandria and search, I can find something they left behind.
