          • What question do you want to ask?

            • The truth behind Diego's pepper monopoly.

                              Well...
my father has recently forcefully taken control of the rights to the pepper market.
But he won't tell me why.
Do you know any reason why he would do something like that?

I did hear that he was turning a nice profit.
But I don't have any interest in his trading.
You probably know more than I do.

It was after the premises were burnt down and we moved to Lisbon.
I told Diego that I was leaving the company...

What's the point in trying to be friends with the aristocrats? Nothing will change even if we became rich! If you're not interested in getting revenge, fine.
I'm going to become a mercenary and continue my hunt.

Don't forget that Hayreddin now controls most of the pirates in North Africa and has become very powerful.
You won't stand a chance if you take him on alone.

...as written in Deuteronomy in the Old Testament, "To me belonged vengeance and recompense; their foot shall slide in due time: for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste." Retribution shall come upon them, and all I need do is wait for that time to come.

However, Diego refused to budge, and told him that he could not win this battle alone.
He then quoted the bible, stating that "...
In the Old Testament, God in the book of Deuteronomy says: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay.
In due time their foot will slip;" "their day of disaster is near and their doom rushes upon them." ...They will be judged eventually.
I shall wait until that day comes." Therefore, Baltazar believed that the day when they could fight alongside one another would come again.
However, after saying all of that, Baltazar's expression immediately changed and he grew quiet.
Alvero asked Baltazar what was the matter, but Baltazar remained silent.

Are you prepare to do what it takes to stop him?" Alvero stared at Baltazar and in a resolute tone, replied, "Yes." In the face of Alvero's steely resolve, Baltazar finally responded.
The truth was that he had found a letter on a pirate ship he had captured that proved Diego had been supplying funding to the pirate Hayreddin.
The very same Hayreddin that had killed Alvero's mother and was Baltazar's sworn enemy.
In the back of Alvero's mind, he was reminded of something when he had taken the mission to retrieve the hostage from Hayreddin.
When Hayreddin had seen the Sarmiento Company crest on the barrels in Alvero's ship, he had stopped robbing the ship.
Alvero was in a state of shock.
All of a sudden, the sound of cannon fire rang out.
                                                                                                                                • 22134

Baltazar ordered Player and Alvero to break through the blockade and return home, while he charged into the group of galleons alone.
