  Without the influence of God in their lives many people have begun to cling to strange faiths instead.
  Do you think a sheltered, well-to-do noble could bring order to a place like that?

  Basically I've taken on the role of the hero eliminating the threat of the evil pirates.
  Of course, I was no different from them back in the day...

  Well, he goes by a lot of different names but they are all fake.
  That's why we just call him Blackbeard... Of course, that might be a problem if he goes and shaves his beard, hehe.
  
  Anyway, his name isn't what's important.

  There's no on in the world like Blackbeard.
  There isn't anyone out there that can strike as much fear into your heart as him.
  
  So trust me, his name isn't important.
  You would never ever mistake him for any other human being.
  
  Now... The first thing I did when I became governor of the Bahamas is that I promised to give them amnesty as long as they quit being pirates.
  
  After this law was passed a lot of pirates came ashore and left their old ways, but of course a lot of them still stayed out on the water, Blackbeard being one of them.
  
  This is just a hunch but I think that the reason he is a pirate is something different from all the other pirates out there.
  
  I know I'll probably end up facing him myself one day.
  When that day comes I'd love to have a skilled sailor like yourself by my side.

  brought with them to help excavate.
  
  These all got mixed together to create a strange new faith

  And there are rumours that say that Blackbeard himself follows this religion,
  and that he worships a god known as the Lord of the Graveyard.

  To be honest I thought he was a monster the first time I saw him.
  
  But, when I decided to bring him on board I found out just how good he was.
  He could read and write and he was quick to learn any job I could throw at him.
  I was really surprised by how smart he was.
  
  When it came time to fight though, that man turned into nothing less than a demon.
  He'd fire the cannons off with burning fuses in his beard.
  He'd jump onto the enemy ship with a cutlass and start cutting men down like it was nothing.
  
  After Blackbeard joined my crew we had nothing to fear in all the seven seas.
  Heck, it was almost even scary to us!
