Yup got one yesterday Sophia is definately correct. High rank SB can take this ship to 930+ cargo within effective range and without cargo improvement parts (ie, >930 is easily achievable). Pretty decent when fleet lead by MTC :)

At 2/8 it can have 1000+ dura and 940+ cargo and it's a good looking ship :) But ya it's lacking 1 gun port and has a smaller crew so it won't be used in ESF :(

This is a free for all ship, can be good for adv, trade and battle but not great, for trade it can get 900+ cargo and shoot of pirates but its slow compared to clippers, for battle the -1 cannon and max crew of 90 can be a great disadvantage and for adv well no idea but i guess ppl like very fast ships with ea

If I add attack prevention net & repair support for optional skill and leave heavy bombing as original skill I can get a build with:
1200 dura
41 armour
15 turn (-1 from cargo)
12 wave resist
88 sailors
900 cargo (roughly)
Looks like it has enough speed and cargo to trade (espeically suited to fleets with faster tow leader) and is unlikely to be sinked by pirate's cannons BUT will I die easily in melee with just 88 crew? I have attack prevention net and I intend to use bell of withdrawal unless pirates have annoying item-block aide.

but using heavy bombing wisely, and not allowing pirate to attack you in bad position for you(for example attack then first when they are still maneuvering) it will be very hard for him to catch you in melee and its better having atk net as it also builds up your defense, not only your escape chance, so better be meleed with it than without, so you can survive enough turns till you can escape even when pirate have restriction, also dont be cheap and use gun ports on improves, this way you can full equip four carros 14, + a bow or stern, and still have max cargo, this really a great pirate avoiding ship, not enough firepower to beat the good ones, but eough to escape, and can eventually beat the low level ones

and it isnt easy to crit bow pirates, there's a spinning technique for aboardage

pirate players are not such dumbass like those NPCs keep that in mind

turk galley will die easy
(when you shoot near there bow its usually a crit
a clr/lr/havy galleass and other galleass's
they are much harder to kill but smae as always a cannoneer with attack prev net tends to kill the galley
however this ship has very little sailors >.

and yes CTG beat this ship...who needs a trade/battle ship...now everyone have 1 ship for trade(see MCT) and 1 ship(or more for battle)....

For trade MCT is better; for battle MF is better...then this ship is under 1b...max 1.4b if is verry well improved(but i dont see how can be done)

NB: dont tell me ok..CTG8/8=700mil MF7/7= 1.2b...so indiaman 8/8=1.9b..

thats nice and all but the reality is this ship is inferior as a trade ship, it is inferior as an adventure ship and it is inferior as a maritime ship. it is on the other hand a pretty good aide ship

In the real world.... you know we're playing a game right? I will freely admit I have never had one of these but I have talked to two people who have used them. One was a pirate-type and that person said it's great "for what I use it for". The other said the same thing you say, it's trying to do a little of everything so it can't really do anything.

Here's the thing though, he improved it and played around with it and ended up being impressed. It has decent speed in open sea and is surprisingly agile with good accelleration in a battle situation, unlike the clippers used for trade which are lumbering hulks once battle begins.

So in fact these are better at evading pirate activity once they have been caught and battle commences.

Yup i got lucky, and i have a MI with command post as optional skill, and repair support / Medical support as original, and is an perfect aide ship battle/trader with 1k cargo.

And yes the skills i named, they all works for aide.

You need to have a minimum sb rank of 5 before you can refit your ship to have more cargo/crew/cannons. Many ship builders will do that for free since it's a quick fix to do.

To get that much extra cargo, you will need to do a mod to it under the supervision of a r20 SB so you don't surfer penalties. Will need SSIPs (15-17m each)
