Now, the reason why everyone --or some-- wants this job is because it has Archaeology related skills --search,unlock, the skill itself-- AND Geography! Some archaeology quest needs historical relics that USUALLY requires high ranking geology quest. Furthermore, the fact that Geology and Archaeology are together is miraculously good, but also Swordplay!

i madam aint ignorant i do adv im r9 arch +appr im treasure hunter which has both and unlock, search is not favoured however but it seems theres an awful lot of maps with either search+arch or search+appr so the search skill easily stays above the unlock skill rank, and i too have sp and gunfire but most adventurers i know dont have sp at all. now you may be judging me ignorant because i only been adventuiring 2months but thats more lack of experience not ignorance...

This is a good job, but seems a little silly to have surveying as the expert skill. Don't really get much benefit from that.

Am debating between the three mid-range Adv jobs I like the best - Ruin Explorer, Archeologist, and Folklorist. Sure wish Folklorist had Theology with it.

IMO Archaeologist is the best compared to the other two. It has most of adventure discovery passive skills and Recognition/Search/Unlock. Ruin Explorer is only if you use throwing knife weapon and trap, alternative job to pick rather than relying on more expensive and harder pull job Guerilla.
