What determines whether one's ship is small, medium or large?
Benjy~04-08-2018

Fine tribs sizes always have puzzled me in how they work can someone tell me if they know
Lets say Fine tribs light ships for example are they saying if a light pirate ship attacks me they can be used
Or
Are they saying if I myself am in a light ship then I can use fine tribs for light ships
My other question lets say im in a light ship and my fleet member is in a large ship can I use fine trib light to end the attack or must I use a fine trib large ship to end it.
Its not a sailing game its a game of discovery now discover how these things work lol

1. The size to use depends on the ship size YOU are using, not the pirate's. You can also use the Fine Tribute Goods for larger ships if your sailing in a smaller ship then it was designed for, but not vice versa.
2. The size to use in that case is determined who has the largest ship size, no matter if their the admiral or not. If someone in the fleet has a heavy ship for example, then the one for Large Ships will only work. I'm guessing otherwise players could get around it by carrying an alt with a light ship, and then using the more easily obtainable Fine Tribute Goods for light ships to get out of a pirate attack.
One more thing to note: Regardless who uses the Fine Tribute Good, EVERYONE in the fleet will have half their money [that they have on person] taken away and be given a green flag.

BLAKE thx for the info and congrats on being CA :)
Oh one more question does my aide's ship determine what trib I must use ie. I sail out in a barca but my aide is in a Clairmont can i still use a fine trib light?

TY for the congrats CPC. :)
Aides ship size doesn't count; you could be in a light ship and your aide in a heavy ship and you still can use the one for light ships.

does this still work if no one on in fleet has money? or does at least one person need to have ducats for it to work?

I dont see any reason why it would not work. Your aides are gonna hate you though, and your sailors loyalty will plumment without having any ducats but nothing ventured nothing gained *shrugs*

oh right i didn't think about my aides, i'm doing survival so my crew is in a bad way already, thanks for the info Blake
