Good point Emma. When I do the bord dungy method I pick up PO2+3 as well that I sell for extra ducat or keep for personal collection. If I need to make gold faster I'll definitely try tripoli though. Thanks for the tip :D

Let's see if I'll get any real price estimate on this today. *up*

Id say around 5 or at least 3 mil. It's very rare to see players actually selling them because their a pain in the ass to make due to the large amount of materials needed. And, depending on your ship hold and what recipe your following, your only squeeze out maybe 10, 15, 20 of these in one go. If you plan to make these for the purpose of making money, their are better and faster ways in doing it. For me it's more of the satisfaction knowing that i'm encouraging players to sail more out in hostile waters that they have at least some form of protection.

5 mil has been the standard for a long, long time.

Thanks guys. Well I've made a few for myself already and for friends so I know at least one of the three routes. Around 10 per go sounds about what I was getting indeed. I was just asked to make a few more and was thinking make extra while at it to sell. BTW mogul NPC in Lisbon buys them for 975K each, so surely you gotta charge players more than that! I'll assume 5 mil for the price then.

Anyway, collecting materials is troublesome. However, it is cursed when I let a price reflect it. I want to say, "Make your own".

If I advise it...The one that displayed materials in the Company shop is simple and makes a profit more. And I'm glad, too :)

I have a question. If you use Fine tribute goods on a player pirate can they farm you again or are you protected by the 24 hour rule?

Erda

When using fine tributes it will give half your current money directly on you to the pirate and the battle ends
AND
You get a green flag effect which last 5mins. During this 5 minutes you cannot be attacked by any other players enough time to get the hell out of dodge. Also every time you tribute a player it will count as a kill for the pirate player which will count towards their 5/5 kill limit.

The 24 hour rule only applies if the pirate actually sinks you weather it's through melee, cannons, or losing at DB. If you use a tribute and the pirate is following you afterwards you should log out, or try to out-sail and lose him/her somehow. As Erda pointed out, it still technically counts as a kill regardless if they sink you or not. And after 5 kills, pirates must head to either Jolo or Nassau to reset it.

Actually if you use a tribute the 24 hour rule *does* apply. My friend confirmed it through experiment. I also suspect it applies when you successfully run away from the battle too, but I have no definite proof.

I have produce Fine tribute goods for 40 times, but never made a great success, does anyone know why?
leoxd10-21-2014
hmm i thought i was the only one who couldn't make a great success with these... i have an aide with 100 points in paymaster
BIakeC10-21-2014
You can get great success on this (Ive gotten it before). It's because since Fine tributes require a lot of materials to make, and likely you don't have no more then a few production shots at a time, there's not much opportunity for it to happen. Best I can suggest is equipping the oxford skills for increasing rate of great success.

Summary:
Fine tribute goods is used to end the battle against player pirates/privateer. Each player within the fleet will lose half of their ducats (from pocket) in exchange for a secure release. After that your whole fleet is 5 minutes protected from any PVP attacks (green flag).
Can be used:
By white players who are attacked in hostile waters by player pirates/privateers
Can't be used:
> Against NPC pirates
> In Lawless waters
> By player pirates/privateer
Furthermore, for the NO.3 recipe I did Luxor dungeon to get those Jewellery and Antique Arts to make these chests.
Hope this makes clear for the most of them. :-)

Mid FSD floor also drops half the stuff needed to make fine tribute goods (Sapphire, Gold, and Jewellery). If you have room, save them in your quarters or shared storage rather then selling them off willy nilly.

Hey!
I dont know what is the cause of this but with Storage Refined + 4 Oxford skills + Paymaster aide + ((also boston skills)) , I was able to get 4 Fine Tribute goods (Large) per great success!
So you can have a decent profit with the route Abdija -> Lisbon (Wich is only 10min away of lisbon)
Abdijan sells Lumber+Diamond+Gold.
Benjy11-26-2024
I was trying to said that the recipe is meant to give "1-3" per production, but I had many great success that gave me 4 LTG per try! o_o
CABlakeC11-26-2024
Refined Storage (and the other production skills that have it) gives double the amount on any trade goods or consumables produced on GS...
