Goddess who deceived Melos island
No Expiration
Athens Adventurer's Guild
A part of the statue was found on the island of Melos, between Athens and Candia. Marble sculptures buried in the ground are usually broken in some place, either large or small. It might lead to a great discovery such as Laocoon or Nile. The Guild has begun a full-fledged investigation. We would like you to help

The Venus de Milo ★★★★★★★ (Work of art) Exp:1222 Fame:470
A marble statue of a female excavated in the island of Milos. It is believed to have been displayed with other statues. The soft lines of the full limbs and flowing clothes are beautiful.

Is there some hidden pre quest to this that Ivyro isn't showing? I've used over 70 QMPs and 3 SQMPs and this still wont show up. :( And yes, I have both quests listed done, and I meet the actual skill requirements.

Nope. try having greek if u dont have.

Adventure fame could be a reason although if your up to this quest it would seem unlikely you would not have a lot of adventure fame by now unless you have been defecting.

The higher your fame, the better. Meeting the skill requirements (even temporarily as in the case of Greek translation notes) seems to raise the probability of certain quests appearing. The Oxford skill to hide previously completed quests at least helps you to filter out the extraneous results a little, though it's not necessary at all to get top quests like this one.
Most likely, this quest is considered 'rare' by the game, meaning it can be tricky to make appear even with SQMPs. I personally spent close to 100 QMPs getting the Pacific Ocean quest, and a little over 200 for the Sloth Bear quest, despite meeting the requirements for both. So long as your fame's at least 50k, you should have a chance, as long as the percentages play out in your favor, since some rare quests have been known to appear even if you don't meet any of the skill requirements.
Hope you get the quest soon. Cheers, and good gaming to you.

There's two similar, but technically different discoveries with the same name that you must have:
Laocoon and
Laocoon. Did you get confused and thought that
Laocoon from
An Account of the Trojan War could count? You have do that, [QUEST:99994433], AND then
Revival of the Trojan war thats listed above before you can undertake this quest. I bring this up because this happened to me after a long hiatus from doing adventure quests and ended up forgetting some things from before. I saw I had that Laocoon and Victory of Samothrace discovery in my card deck and thought I could pull this. I spent a ton of QMPs and wondered why this wasnt pulling up despite that and using 3 SQMPs as well. After looking up some more info on ivyro, it turned out it wasnt enough, and I had those two quests to get to this one. Derp! 60 QMPs and 3 SQMPs down the piss hole, although I didnt have much difficulty getting this quest once I completed everything. Check carefully to see if you've done everything correctly.
If you do have the 2nd discovery then it sounds like your just having really bad luck. Some quests can show up more easily for different players then others (I recalled it only took me 3 or 4 QMPs to get the reportedly very hard to pull
Mare Pacificum to show for me, and I wasn't even looking for that!) and vice versa as well.
