      No.7586

      Jakarta Adventurer's Guild
This is a request from a scholar investigating Silla history. In his literature, there is a reference to "Gaya". I imagine it may be the name of the region at the time, but I can't find any documents that confirm it for sure. There may be a book at the archives in Hanyang. You should talk with the scholar there.

                        1. Country of Steel
Gaya was a prosperous nation of iron. Its rare iron-making techniques influenced the neighboring countries. By making iron armours, they were able to gain great military power. Gaya established iron refinement techniques and developed rapidly, but the techniques were absorbed by Sila with the destruction of Gaya.

                        2. Gaya Steel Techniques
Iron was a precious good historically...even more so when it was refined. Iron itself might have become a powerful tool of trade. People maybe created iron bars like the gold bars we have now...

                        3. Gaya Records
The "Gaya" in the literature was a nation that flourished due to iron once existed in this region, and was ultimately absorbed by Silla. You might be able to discover iron from Gaya. Go to the outskirts of Pohang and investigate.

                            A rotting lump of iron.
During the Gaya Period, iron bars were apparently used as currency.
