Strange Clay Doll
A while ago, a seafarer was shopping here when he gave this terribly strange clay doll to my daughter. Now she is in love with it. It's creepy and I want to throw it out... So go see what the seafarer has to say about it. If there are any scary stories about it, she might let it go.

Found in Mountains
The doll I gave to Pedlar's daughter. Ah, so it was creepy then? That's how I ended up wth it, too. The guy who gave it to me said their kid found on the outskirts of town. Well, I won't argue that it is strange. But...

Reminds Me of a Mother
...For some reason, I can't hate that doll. I wondered why ever since I got it from that old man in Edo... Then I realized...That's it! It looks like my mom! I mean, I don't want to say how exactly. She might knock me into next week.

Found by a Girl
Are you investigating that clay doll? You sure are curious... Holding onto that won't cause anything bad to happen or anything, but I felt uncomfortable letting my daughter keep it... If it's that doll you're after you should ask that girl around town. She's the one who found it after all.

God of the Land
I found the doll up in the mountains. Somebody who read a lot of books told me that it's the god of earth,so I need to take care of it. So I gave it to my friend and told them to be careful with it. I hope they are...If you find one, you need to take care of it too, okay?

The clay doll kept by the requester's daughter seems to be viewed as a figure of mother earth. As it was found in the mountains, it is possible that it's an ancient relic. Just as the girl said, search on the outskirts of Edo near the red flower. Informing the parent what you have learned so far may give them a change of heart.
