                  While heading down the Yangtze from Chongqing to here, I saw something pale blue cut across the river surface. It moved so gracefully I thought it might be the goddess of the sea. I should have turned back to Chongqing and gotten some information at the port....

                  Goddess Who Heals Travellers to the Yangtze
                  A pale blue creature that gracefully swims the Yangtze.... maybe you mean a dolphin? Indeed it has been revered as a goddess by many a seafarer. I'm sure sailors hearts are calmed during long trips along the mighty river when they are unexpectedly greeted by that creature. I'm sure you could see one too as you head down the river from here.
