Chancellor searching for a chronicle
We received a request from Majapahit's Prime Minister Laden to find a manuscript. It is the chronicles of the Golden Age of Majapahit. Several were written, but according to an islamic merchant they've been scattered in all directions. First, you should go and ask the merchants in this town.
"""Dershawalnana"""
The Chronicles of Majapahit. I think they're in Desawarnana. I'm sorry but I don't know much about them.
The old guy at the market knows more than me. Go and ask him.
Famous chancellor of Gadjah Mada
Majapahit had a Prime Minister called Gajah Mada. He was a great leader who unified a vast area by military force. When he died, his domain had to be split between five people, so his work was widereaching. The Desawarnana, also known as Nagarakretagama is written about him
Still unrevealed identity
Nagarakretagama was written by court poet Prapanca as a eulogy to Gajah Mada. As a literary work, it is superlative and many copies were made. I think most of the island has been searched for a copy, but none have yet been found.
Secret of Majapahit
It has probably already been lost. But there is one rumour. The secrets of Majapahit are hidden in the original Nagarakretagama. Raden ordered copies to be made, but he was probably just trying to find those secrets. Anyway, we don't need to worry about that.
In the outskirts of Malacca
I've heard this from an Islamic merchant who I've traded with. There's an area in the outskirts of Malacca where the Majapahit royal family lived. But Malacca became independent and a trade competitor of Majapahit. Of course, that royal family became an embarrassment. They escaped to Gia Dinh and it's unclear where they ended up.
Search for the chronicle
The chronicles known as Nagarakretagama were probably taken by the Majapahit royal family when they escaped to Gia Dinh. Those connected to Majapahit would not have been able to investigate this, so it is quite likely. But what was Raden really looking for?
