There appears to be a lot of land to the north and south of the Caribbean, but I wonder what lies further west? We know there's land there, but is it inhabited? Are there resources to be found? Talk with the port official in Santiago, then go investigate.

1. Forested peninsula
If you travel west of here you will come across a large stretch of land. If you travel further west along its coast you will come to a peninsula sticking out far into the sea. It's covered in dense forest buy you can see buildings that have been built further inland. There's no place to dock there though so I don't have any idea if there are any people there or not.

2. Peninsula with a building
There is a peninsula to the west of Santiago. Apparently structures resembling buildings can be seen further inland, but it is still unknown if there are any people living there or not. I should try to survey what I can from the water. I suppose I could use the "Recognition" command around the northern edge of the peninsula to see as much as i can.

The Yucatan Peninsula ★★ (Geography) Exp:375 Fame:180
A large peninsula jutting out towards Cuba. Comprised of limestone rock, it has a tropical climate with goodly amounts of rain and fairly rich soil. it is likely farming is possible. There seems to be a giant structure inland. Is there some colossal power here...?
