                  1.Undecipherable map
                  The other day a letter together with the reproduction of an old map were received from a scholar in Istanbul. He wrote "compare the newest map of the so-called new continent with the enclosed one". In so doing, you can see that there is an island on the old map that does not exist on the new!

                  2.Location of the fabled island
                  The island seems to be situated east of the southern tip of the new continent. Then again, the map is so terribly contorted as not to be easily believed. Therefore, I want you to investigate whether this island really exists or not. Discovery of the island can be your great deed; discovery of the map is sufficient for me.

                  Ah, well indeed there is rumour that an island is in fact situated there. And thus the rumour.

                  Oh that rumour? Even now there was a group who went in search of that island, but they couldn't hack the cold and the rain--turned tail. Far as I can reckon, nobody's made it there. Then again, this assumes there even is an island.

                  5.Authentication of the map
                  The story goes that southeast of San Antonio, round the southern tip of the new continent and situated in the east there is an island that none has seen. While confirming the authenticity of the map would be something, finding the island would be huge discovery. Make fastidious preparations and depart.
