1. Scholar
Animal bones are not often found in Mayan ruins. I think this is because they did not use livestock. The primary food source for that region was probably various fruits or corns. Which means that when there was a bad harvest they may have been low on food and had to move to live on different land, right?

2. Monk
Human remains of what are believed to be ancient Mayans are often found on the Yucatan peninsula. However, many of them are strangely shaped or decorated in various ways, most likely for some sort of religious purpose. Maybe they destroyed the ruins as part of a religious provisions..

3. Discovery
Based on my research two theories were proposed. One theory suggested that the Mayans moved often due to the bad harvests and a limited food supply, and the other suggests some sort of religious directive. But, i could not find enough evidence to fully support either on of these theories. If i can investigate these bones I may be able to tell if there were any signs of starvation or if they have any relationship with religious activities. I should try looking around the outskirts of Merida for clues.
