The second circumvention of the globe
      No Expiration
      London Adventurer's Guild
Hey, you went to investigate the Straights of Magellan before, right? There is no debate that Magella's fleet was the first to successfully sail around the world, but the second person to achieve this was an English voyager. Please find out about this voyager and report back. First go speak with the Scholar.

              1. Sir Francis Drake
I'm sure you already know about him, but that Sailor's name is Sir Francis Drake. He was given the title "Sir", which means he's considered a "Knight of the Realm", If a mere Sailor could earn such an honour, that must be an unprecedented exception.

              2. Drake and Plymouth
Besides that, i heard he used to make a living as a pirate. So how did he come to be decorated as a knight? The name Plymouth appears many times throughout his history. A Port Official there must have some detailed documents about him. Why don't you go and ask?

              3. Privateers
Some documents about Sir Drake? Ah, yes, i have some. From this harbour, he sailed for the New World with a fleet of five boats including the flag ship toe Golden Hind. He was given permission to act as a privateer, or, in other words, a pirate. But the accomplishments of his fleet are truly astonishing.

              4. The ultimate privateer
On the west coast of the New World, they captured the Spanish cargo ship the Cacafuego which was loaded with great riches including gold and silver. They also attacked many Spanish built towns and plundered their treasure. On top of that, they loaded up on spices from the Spice Islands and returned here to port.

              5. One ship's cargo that could save a country
Although, among the five ships, only the flagship the Golden Hind came back to Plymouth. But the freight loaded on that one ship was valuable enough to nullify the entire debt owed by our country at that time. That cargo was then presented to the queen and Drake was knighted... So that's how it all happened.

              6. Further feats
He also made discoveries during his sea journeys and there is a place at the suthern tip of the New World that bears his name. A discussion of Sir Drake's great deeds would not be complete without mentioning that. It's quite a trip, but there is someone in San Antonio who knows a lot about him. Why don't you do some investigating there?

              7. Pirate known as the dragon
Sir Francis Drake? Oh, you mean El Draque? Tht's his nickname. It means "Dragon". He attacked so many towns and ships, so that's why he was called that. In particular, he received the name for targeting the Spanish.

              8. A dangerous place?
You want to investigate a place he discovered? I wouldn't recommend that. That place is even more terrible than the Straits of Magellan. Without end, powerfull storm-level winds blow from the west. And, in the winter, floating ice mercilessly tears at ships. But if you say you'll still go, i guess there's no stopping you.

              9. Channel that avoids the dragon
A place named after Sir Drake? There's a strait past an island at the southern tip that bears his name. I think he's the one who discovered it. But he actualy returned to the Straits of Magellan and passed through there instead. He must have had doubts about wheter he could sail it successfully. Well, it's that kind of a place over there.

              10. Traces of voyage around the world
Sir Francis Drake was the second person in history to circumnavigate the globe. On his sea journeys, he ammassed great riches and rescued England from financial peril. This earned him a knighthood. During his travels, he also apparently discovered a strait which is south of the Straits of Magellan. Butis it possible that you could investigate it further...

Admiral Francis Drake of England is said to have discovered this strait. The waves of adjacent waters are high and the forceful winds never drop, making this known as a difficult area to sail. Moreover, it is covered in ice through the winter.
