      You are Player?
I am Maximilian and I will be in charge of this lecture. Let's get started on this lecture right away.
First of all, "Hostile Waters" and "Safe Waters"
The seas of the world can be divided into "Hostile Waters" and "Safe Waters".
You cannot be attacked by other Sailors in "Safe Waters", but there is the danger of attack on "Hostile Waters".
But of course you can attack other ships in the "Hostile Waters".
However, in that case your Notoriety will increase, a Bounty will be put on your head, and you will be targeted by other players.

      • You can attack other Players
        in Hostile Waters.
        • 9662
        • When you attack and cripple other players' ships
or receive a tribute from them,
your Notoriety will increase and a bountry
          will be placed on you.
Also, your relationship with that player's Country
          of origin will worsen.

            • When you go from safe waters to hostile waters,
              an alert is displayed.

              • In hostile waters,
the skull mark is shown on the ocean map.

I see... Very well, let me try again.

In safe waters, you won't be attacked by other Voyagers, but in hostile waters you might be.
Naturally, in dangerous waters, you'll also be able to attack other ships.
However, in that case, your Notoriety will increase and a bounty may be placed on your head.

Excellent, let me move on to the next explanation. It concerns 3 topics: "Vs. battles", "Bounties" and "Tributes"...
Which one would you like to hear about?
                                              • 9681
                                              • Which do you want to hear about?
                                                • 9682
                                                • Vs. battles
                                                  • 9683

                                                      • That's enough.

                                                          "Vs. Battle", eh...?
Well, there are two types of Vs. Battle. There are "Mock Battles" and "Real Battles". I'll start by explaining about Mock Battles.
Mock Battles are battles that are conducted after both parties agree to participate. They can only be conducted in safe waters.
Just as its name suggests nothing can be gained or lost from participating in a Mock Battle.
However, Mock Battles are a great way to prepare for sudden attacks on you from unknown enemies or pirates.
Remember, both parties must agree to begin a Mock Battle. If you want to participate in Mock Battles you should display your Mock Battle acceptance information.
                                                          • 9687
                                                          • A mock battle is a Vs. battle that can be held
in Safe Waters. A mock battle can be carried out
as long as both sides give permission.
                                                            • 9688
                                                            • To give permission, select "Set Status" from "Community"
and put a check next to "Allow Mock Battle".
                                                              • 9689
                                                              • Instructor Maximilian
                                                                "Bounties", eh...?
A bounty will be put on the head of any Voyager that attacks another Voyager. This will occur whenever a Voyager attacks another Voyager in a Vs. battle and incapacitates a ship.
In other words bounties show who is a ruffian and who lives by the law. When you have a bounty on your head you'll be hunted down by other Voyagers.
Actually though, there are two types of bounties.
There are "Privateers" who only attack people from other countries and "Pirates" who attack anyone regardless of their affiliation.
Sailors with a bounty on their head will become targets for elimination and can be attacked by other sailors even in safe waters.
If you fight against anyone with a bounty then your Notoriety or enmity level against other countries will not change even if you win.
In fact, you will actually be rewarded depending on the strength and Notoriety of the wanted sailor you eliminate.
It may be easy to become a pirate but you must realize what fate awaits you afterwards.
                                                                • 9690

I'm going to teach you what you need to know to prevent being attacked out on the water.
You can search for other captains in the same waters as you by name.
The names of any "Privateers" will appear in orange and "Pirates" will appear in red.
If you have the "Lookout" skill then you can use that to see the names of ship captains that are far away from you as well.
If you use these two techniques effectively you should be able to avoid a number of pirate attacks.
                                                                      • 9693

                                                                            "Tribute Goods", eh...?
This is one way to avoid fighting with pirates. If you are attacked by pirates you can give them tribute goods and avoid fighting them altogether.
However, that's not all you'll have to give up. You'll also have to give them half of all the money you are holding at the time.
Plus, if you're in a fleet every member of your fleet will also have to give up half of their money in the same way.
Furthermore, depending on the size of the vessel that is attacking you only certain tribute goods will suffice. The bigger the vessel the better the tribute goods have to be.
Anyway, when you're attacked by pirates it'll be up to you to determine whether to fight or try and escape by giving them tribute goods.
That's what I want you to remember the most. When you're out there sailing you have to at least expect that much to happen.
