  Your Fame is like a meter showing how trustworthy you are, you see.
  If you want to do big jobs, the fastest way is to do lots of small jobs first and build up your Fame bit by bit.

  When you're introduced to a new quest, the only thing shown is the reward.

  If your client is, say, a small child in trouble, I wouldn't expect any substantial reward for helping them.
