                        Something convenient to connect the Mediterranean with the Red Sea. Some kind of water source. If there was a river or a lake it would be porrible to dig a canal to connect them.
                        Why not collect information in the rest area in Alexandria.

                        2. Surrounding information
                        A lake? Yes, there is one. You can see it if you go a little way past Cairo.
                        There are several lakes in that area. Let's see, there's Lake Manzala and Lake Timsah and another one that's really big. If you get there, it's not far to the Red Sea, If you connect the lakes and the seas, you can use it as part of the canal.

                        3. Lake in a gorge
                        There should be a lake around here somewhere. If you can connect this to the Mediterranean and the Red Sea, you can make a new trade route. You can check about the lake in the outskirts of Cairo, so you should set sails straight away.
