        Tunis Adventurer's Guild
A noble wants to hire a musician and has sent in a request. He says he does not find traveling minstrels or players sufficient. He is looking for someone foreign I believe. For now, can you see if the informant in Seville has any information for us.

                      Regarding Foreign Musicians
Foreign musicians, eh? You'd think, you adventurers, with all the traveling you do, would be more informed on that than me. But then again, if it were true, I'd be out of a job. I heard something the other day from a source, about some folks down in Africa who have been musicians for generations.

                      Source of the Info
Sorry, more than that will cost you.
Ha ha, I'm just fooling with you. that's cause I heard this from the scholar. No real danger to it and no real reason to keep it secret. But you might as well here it directly from the scholar himself.

                      Players of Africa
These aren't your normal hereditary musicians. They use music and instruments to tell their history. They're similar to the minstrels of Europe. In every African village there is a family who plays and teaches history at all the important celebrations and ceremonies.

                      Carrying on Traditions
I am told that each family uses a specific instrument. I believe that inheriting the instrument is another way of affirming their past and carrying it on into the future.
I hear there is such a musician in Sierra Leone.

                      Inheriting the stories
I'm amazed you even know of them, much less are investigating them. Their music and stories are irreplaceable. You cannot employ them on your ship. A noble? That is impossible, too. They're not just story tellers. They're stories remind us of the teachings and wisdom of the ancients.

                      Their Role
They tell us of the history and teachings of our ancestors. And they allow us to use the knowledge we learned at the feet of the king without regret. And sometimes, they heal through their music. Our cities, our towns, us as individuals cannot be without them.
                      But...perhaps...

                      It is Said
If you are telling me that you want these Tellers of our history to tell their stories in foreign lands, the perhaps I can allow you to view their instrument before you leave.
I am told a family who uses a string instrument is curently at the tavern. they are not stingy with their gifts. I am sure they will allow you to see their instrument.

                      The Instrument
It appears to be impossible to hire these musicians for the noble, but I discovered that there were musicians outside of Europe and they too told tales of older times. I am intereste to see this instrument that is also passed down generation to generation.

A stringed instrument from western Africa. It's 21 keys are plucked using the thumb and forefinger. Using this instrument, musicians have passed on the both the traditions and stories from ancient times and the news of current times.
