      Did you know that long ago there was a kingdom near Kaffa? It seems that the kingdom has a relationship with Greece, there were similar buildings there. Among those there were strangely shaped ones. A Kaffa city official has made a research request about that, so speak to him.

                1. A strange excavation
                These artefacts of strange shape were excavated together with vases that are frequently found in the area around Athens. The materials are also similar. I think that this strange vase probably also came from Athens. A Craftsman in Athens might know something. Go and ask about it.

                2. For the kingdom
                In ancient times, clay ware and gold works were exported from this region to that Kingdom. That object of strange shape was probably made around here. You can probably find it in the northwest part of town.

                The strangely shaped vase which was excavated near Kaffa is said to have been made around Athens and brought here. It's also possibly that it was not exported and remained here, so I'll go look northwest of Athens.

                    Is there a pre-quest for this? Or does the Discovery show as something other than "Kerch Vase"? Or is this just a really hard quest to pull? Or does the quest have some hidden req like Persian? Because I don't have the discovery listed, and I've burned 25 QMP and 2 SQMP trying to get this quest from Istanbul. I meet all the reqs by a long ways, have 320k Adventure fame, and speak Turkish. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank-you.

                    Hmm. Looking at this quest in Japanese...

                    I may be reading it wrong, but it's showing that Initial historical investigation is needed to unlock this quest. Both quest descriptions in english mention a kingdom, so they do appear to be connected. Not sure if that's 100% accurate or not, though, sorry.

                    I have the discovery and it is indeed called "Kerch Vase". I got it awhile back and I had (at the most) 100k adventure fame. It sounds you just have a bad case of bad luck. I wish you better luck in the future though.

                    I have this discovery as well. As I recall, the quest did not appear until after I'd done the Kerch Straits discovery quest listed by ReaD and Guilder.

                    Aahh, thank you so much to all who helped. *facepalm* to me though(LOL!) I should have done a search on this DB for Kerch, I might have made the connection sooner.
