The Eerie Sound of Distant Thunder
Have you heard about the resounding thunder in the woods yet? It just sounds like distant thunder. A group that went to the forest was eerily disturbed by it, but no harm befell them. So I'm giving you this quest to investigate the matter. Ask the town's residents where it is and go investigate.

Loud Noice During the Rainy Season
You can hear the thunder to the west. I've actually heard it too, but it just sounded like distant thunder and certainly not the real kind. By the way, the sound gets louder during the rainy season. Maybe it's there's a connection with water... Anyways, take care where you go.

                                    Is the Thunder Actually Water?
It's been said that there is a sound resembling thunder that resonates throughout the forest and is especially loud during the rainy season, which is the time of the year when downpours are most frequent. Areas affected by water may hold the key to understanding this thunder. As instructed, set sail from Sofala, land along the shore to the south, and investigate the area around the upturned boulder to the west.

A giant waterfall located in southern Africa. The name means the Smoke that Thunders. Fittingly, the roaring water sounds like thunder when the rainy season adds to the river's volume.

Discovery is at Zambezi River Midstream (2nd zone of Africa Southeast Coast). Use search/recognition at the northern most point

Fixed, thanks for the info. It's funny, the original quest directions for this discovery and the Sahara were accurate, but then new zones dedicated to those very spots were introduced, thus changing the quest discovery steps a bit. The same will likely happen in the future with Niagara Falls.
