1. Ask the high priest
The Toltec civilisation? I've heard that a kingdom by that name existed in this area a long time ago. The High Priest in this town is very knowledgeable about the local history. Why not go and ask him about it?

2. Story of Toltec 1
Stories exist about a country known as the Toltec Empire, but, at any rate, they're only legends. It's said, though, that they influenced the Aztec Empire. I've heard that, a long time ago, their lands stretched west from here in Merida, past Veracruz and still further west again.
